BIOGRAPHY

Sol Stazi was born on Bburru Station during the twilight years of the Galactic Republic. The only son of Mazik Stazi, then still a Captain in the Republic Navy, Sol's early relationship with his father was contentious until the elder Stazi was declared missing in action and presumed dead during the One Sith campaign. Sol was driven by vengeance to enlist but could not fully reconcile his father's domineering wishes that he follow in the old man's footsteps so instead he volunteered for the armed forces.

The war by this point was not going well, and even though he lied about his age Private Stazi barely had enough time to complete basic training before the Republic military had mostly collapsed. Some of the duros' first combat was during the Mid Rim Retreat where many remnant units regrouped on Sullust and formed a military coalition with the surrounding systems which would ultimately become the Galactic Alliance. Sol was by this point one of the last survivors of his regiment and likely would not have made it long enough to see his comrade's fortunes turn if he had not been recruited as a replacement for the Sixty-First Mobile Infantry otherwise known as Twilight Company.

When the Alliance launched their first offensives Stazi discovered that he was a natural soldier and quickly earned both medals and distinction. By the time the GA war machine had reached Lujo he was a senior sergeant. After the liberation of Coruscant he received a battlefield commission to the rank of lieutenant. The One Sith Empire was finally broken, but a lifetime of war was all Sol had ever known. Even his vengeance in the end was robbed from him. His father had been discovered in a rogue Sith prisoner of war camp. He had been tortured, experimented on, then ultimately left in forgotten in isolation for years but survived the capture of his ship and the rest of the war after all.

Despite all this their reunion was not a happy one. Ignoring his father's dim attitude towards his chosen vocation as a 'simple ground pounder' the younger Stazi continued to see combat as the Alliance grew more fanatical and aggressive about chasing down the last vestiges of a once almighty Sith religion. Eventually reporting directly to [member="Lyra Sunfell"], by the Galactic Alliance's collapse he was Captain Stazi of the Sixty-First. After Coruscant was sacked the Sixty-First fell back to the deep Outer Rim where under his and Major Sunfell's command Twilight Company continued to fight as a part of the exiled government's remnant forces on worlds like Skor II, Terminus, Elrood and Sullust.

Upon taking back the old capital Sol resigned his commission along with many others and volunteered to join the Coalition's Partisans. Sullust and its sister worlds would need time to rebuild and heal their wounds. He hadn't signed up to sit on the backlines manning the walls back home. He was given his own resistance unit to command, a little under company strength. Partisans aren't big on military protocol so instead of an assigned designation Stazi's troops simply call themselves the Roughnecks.
