• Conducts Ionic/electronic weapons into the droid
 • Can increase strength if exerted constantly
 • Different stages of development
Strengths:
 • Acts as muscle that is stronger than human muscles
 • When strengthened, can allow strength beyond Gen’dai
Weaknesses:
 • No natural protection towards most weapons
 • Requires specific compound in order to strengthen with use
 • Ionic/electrical weapon are conducted through the muscle into the droid
 • Conventional weapons cause damage to ‘cellular’ makeup
 • Requires considerable strenuous activity to maintain superior strength
 • Extreme temperatures can cause negative affects to the materials abilities
DESCRIPTION
The uniqueness of the organic muscle tissue has often baffled attempts to reproduce it in an artificial medium. The potential advantages of this over hydraulic or similar more conventional artificial systems are perhaps less obvious.

Ultimatum’s first foray into the attempt is with this, the Skeletal Muscle Replacement #001. This material has been designed with various metals combined by molecularly and with specific physical alteration. It is intended to replicate the behavior and purpose of organic muscles, specifically skeletal muscles. The material has a naturally complex structure, as it is attempting to replicate a complicated organ. Therefore it cannot be created in large quantities. The complexity also creates a severe fragility to damage from most conventional weapons at first.

The material’s unique ability is to strengthen with continual exertion. When a specifically designed fluid is continuously administered to the material, through basic systems that are similar to oil systems, the material is capable of being mended from minor stress fractures that occur from exertive use. This allows the material to become stronger, like organic muscles, when overexerted. The material also requires the fluid to maintain the strength level. The growth can be broken down, approximately, into a set of three phases. Phase one is basically what it starts out as, while Phase 2 is approximately the half way point in strength and density. Phase 3 is the pinnacle of development available with this material, and displays an incredible increase in strength and overall density. The initial strength is slightly greater than that of most standard humans. While Phase 2 shows strength comparable to that of a Wookie. Phase 3 at its height has a strength greater than that of a Gen’dai. In order to increase the strength requires considerable activity, akin to that of organic workouts, and a continual supply of fluid. Of course the strength does not solely relate to the ability to lift objects or push, but also translates into the ability to survive greater falls, assuming that the droid’s components could handle the stress, and similar physical feats.

It does not have an incredible resistance from its own abilities, instead requiring physical labors to grant some forms of defenses. The metallic nature does however give it a somewhat basic defense against vibration or temperature based weapons. The metal is, by its nature, very conductive of electricity and offers no protection against ion or electrical weapons, instead it conducts the energy into the droid it is attached to. The defense against lightsaber is practically nonexistent as the intense heat of the saber quickly melts through the material, on top of this the heat causes irreparable damage to the cell structures around the damaged zone. As the materials are strengthened, the resistance to blasters and physical projectiles becomes better defined. Even in these later forms, the material is still damaged by weapons. The cellular style of the construct makes it such that each ‘cell’ of the material to be broken and destroyed. On top of this, while the extreme temperature does not necessarily damage the material directly, the extremes in either way cause changes in the functionality of the material as a muscle system. Extreme heat causes the material to become more flexible, but weakens the overall strength, while cold causes the metal to become brittle, but stronger
