Smoke Break

"Bit of a traveling mother to much, I wish i could have spent more time with my children as they grew up... even if they too will live a long time". Though unfortunately energy vampires matured like regular humans, meaning that her on off mercenary work came at a cost, even if it made ends meet for the family.

"Improve my skills, perhaps I could open up a small street restaurant on Atrisia, train students and feed other people, could help with my social skill". Unless people where scared away from said ship, perhaps hiring some front counter people would be necessary while she mainly concentrated on food preparation.

Setting up shop to improve her people skills wasn't a bad idea. It was a rather good one. ''I have to agree with you there. That would be a good idea. Heck, maybe I could help you out with that. It'd give me a chance to finally try cooking something, and it would be a welcome break from adventuring and nearly getting killed all the time.''

The last part of the sentence was said rather jokingly, but it was true. Taking a puff of his cig, he attempted to blow another smoke ring, however, it ended up lopsided and not much like a smoke ring at all.

''Damn, always shoots a bit to the right.'' He joked. It was a rather dumb one, but an attempt.

She laughed a bit, looking the the ginger haired boy with a small smile, "you want me to teach you cooking? well that is a first, have taught people many things but not cooking". "It may be worth a shot, I have plenty of money to do so if things don't work off no skin of my teeth", not that she wasn't confident, there where a few recipes up her sleeve that where probably lost to time, anything unique even if it did not taste the best sold.

"Eh, problems with your smoke rings? practice makes perfect, that is one of those skills that you can't learn, but have to just go over and over again until you get it right". "How long you been smoking rings for anyways"? [member="Noatyr Moldmerr"] did not look much older then 20, if so the boy either smoked a lit or had been a smoker since childhood.

Shrugging, the young man tapped his fingers against the cigarette, and smirked. ''Started about a year or so ago, don't do it very often. Wouldn't want to be spending all my hard earned credits on a pack a day. As for the cooking lessons, well, I promise I won't make something explode very often.'' He snickered at the last part, as a little reference to his recent distraction attempt.

He blew another smoke ring, this one ending up more like a square, but it was closer. The square shape was odd, but smoke rings were odd things.

''Remind me to ask you for one of your finest dishes at some point. Restaurant food is great, but home made stuff still tops it all.''

He was the kind who had only eaten home cooked meals on rare occasions, so to him, it was almost like a delicacy.

"Mmm really, well I have been smoking the moment I could get my hands on them, probably not the best for ones health but it does not affect me", her regeneration power easily handling any illnesses that came from smoking. "Hmmm, I am not sure you can keep that promise, I better learn force shield just to be safe", she joked in response. Perhaps in the mean time she could look about learning the smoke ring trick, it was certainly an interesting display, and without the use of the force too.

"My finest dish, we will see about it, though may take me a while to shift through what I know, though tell me what sort of taste do you like the most, I am certain there will be something I can cook to your liking". That little bit of personal flare and focus on one dish always brought out the most flavor in her mind.

At the joke he laughed whole heartedly. At least she knew how to make jokes herself. That was good. It was a start.

''Suit yourself, although if you ask me, it'd be better to just get reinforcements for the entire surrounding area.'' He stuck his tongue out in a mocking manner.

He once again began to stroke his chin in thought. He had a taste for many things, and he wasn't very picky when it came to food. So given the choice, he would have to say...

''Anything you make is fine with me.'' He flashed her a thumbs up and a smile. Food was food to him.

At some point, maybe he could return the favor. If he didn't blow up every oven he came into contact with first. Goof.

"Hmm that may not work, a very enclosed area tends to increase the effect of the blast from explosives, safer to have it open air and throw you onto anything that looks like it is about to go boom". She replied, half serious half joking, though hopefully there would be no explosion to begin with, though there was always the possibility.

"Anyways, when ever you are up to it do not hesitate to give me a call for your personal dish to be cooked, unless I am away on missoins or doing my own thing I'd be more then happy to prepare some food". Maybe have it as group thing, invite some acquaintances over, cooks a small buffet and see who likes who, may be a good idea before starting the whole mini restaurant.

As the two conversed the drop ship finally broke the atmosphere, heading towards the large capital ship from which they came.

Smirking lightly, the young humanoid leaned back against the wall, his hands sliding behind his head into a more comfortable spot. He was happy to know that things had worked out.

''Oh I will.'' Closing his large eyes, he shifted a bit, adjusting himself to the descending ship's movement, his body trying to make up for the amount of energy he had expended during the mission.

''Don't bother waking me when we land. Light sleeper. Chances are I won't see you again after I wake up, at least not for a while, so I figure I'll at my farewells for now, right now.''

One of his arms broke off from his head's resting place, and booped Yumi's nose.

''Seeya around the system fangs.'' He lightly snickered, before he stopped speaking, and his breaths became more heavy, as his short after mission nap began.
