STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

[+] Can You Get Rat Muzzles? -
Like all of those amongst his species, Smeg has incredibly strong and vicious teeth that can indeed with a bit of time put in, chew through durasteel. In his superior intelligence (in comparison to the rest of his species) Smeg has actually taken to sharpening his teeth into points, making them deadlier. They do become blunt over time and with constant use but given that the teeth of a rodent are constantly growing they only need to be re-sharpened. Combine this with his standard Skraal hygiene and a bite from Smeg will always result in putrid infection. Leave untreated and risk amputation.

[+] I'll Be Right Under Their Noses... - He's small, he's quiet, he's nocturnal and doesn't have a large beacon of a Force presence. Smeg thrives in the shadows and is thus extremely adept at sneaking, and avoiding being seen. Not to mention that natural night vision. Grand for ambushes. One might question why the Skraal are not the perfect city assassins, but here's a clue: You'll smell him before you see him.

[+] King Immune – Due to the Skraal's lifestyle of filth, biological warfare is not recommended to use upon Smeg or his brethren. Of course, this doesn't mean that the rodents are immune to all disease, that would be ridiculous but given that they live among pestilence, you'll have a hard time trying.

[+/-] Smarter Than Your Average Skraal – Smeg's title of Filth King comes from his above average intelligence for his species. Although on a galactic standard level this means little, when it comes to his own species he understands how to manipulate and control the massive swarm of noxious rodents. However! Compared to the rest of the galaxy, Smeg would be considered a moron. Easily manipulated, petty and greedy, he might be the Filth King, but not of much else.

[-] The Little Guy – Standing under five foot doesn't bode well for anybody in this galaxy, not to mention the nutritional value of trash doesn't offer for a healthy well-oiled machine of a body, Smeg is not strong and will likely be physically beaten across the galaxy by men, women, girls and boys alike.

[-] Light Sensitivity – Being a nocturnal creature that thrives in the shadows, Smeg's eyes are very sensitive to light. Sudden bright lights are enough to incapacitate the Skraal and even just being out and about in a clear and bright environment is enough to cause constant discomfort.

[-] Despised – Much like real rats, the Skraal have an unfortunate reputation. Even amongst those who barely get by in the lower levels of Coruscant the Skraal and by default Smeg are considered absolutely scum, to the point of being kicked at if seen. The putrid stench doesn't help either, as nobody desires to have sustained contact with creatures so repulsive. No diplomacy here, sir.

APPEARANCE

A big rat.

No, really. A big sentient rat.

Upon closer inspection, one might remark upon just how ratty Smeg is. If you squint you can practically see the stench lines. One would also note that Smeg usually has several furless patches, revealing leathery black skin upon his body, this is due to him gnawing on himself to rid his constant itches, it could also be attributed to playful scratches and bites from his various mates.

There is one more notable element in Smeg's appearance, and that is his half tail. In the constant war waged in the pits of Coruscant with the Cthon, there was an altercation in a skirmish between the two bottom feeders. An altercation that resulted in one of the humanoid brutes biting completely through Smeg's tail and presumably eating it for dinner.

BIOGRAPHY

There is nothing truly remarkable about Smeg's story up to this point.

Like all Skraals he was born at the very bottom, at the lowest rung of Coruscanti society, also like all Skraal he does not know who is father, or even his mother for that matter, that's what happens when you're a part of a species that does nothing but eat trash and breed, and being a part of a single litter of twenty-five, it's hard to keep a track of family faces.

So Smeg got by, managing to survive the typical harsh infancy that all Skraal experience and thus he moved onto stage two of rodent living.

Eating, mating and salvaging.

After years of living like this, Smeg began to realise that he was smarter than his peers, that he could turn his living situation into something that suited him better. He needed cheese. For those who haven't read the submission entry for the noble Skraal, one would find that cheese is like a drug to the rodent species. One hell of a drug.

He who controls the cheese, controls the lowest level of Coruscant.

So Smeg would salvage, steal and kill, all for cheese, not for him of course. Aware of the addictive qualities that cheese held for his species he used the dairy product to manipulate his kind into scavenging for him, finding him food, and the best junk technology that was thrown down that far. He didn't have to work any more, there was only eating and mating.

Ambition began to shine.

Mobilising his fellow Skraal, he began to lead them in a war against the Cthon, knowing that their enemy were much stronger he encouraged the rodents to attack Cthons who were by themselves or even in pairs and never to attack head on.

It was working.

His reputation began to grow, even trickling upwards and outside the lowest levels. It was then, in his hubris that Smeg declared himself The Filth King.

Only when Smeg manages to drag her boyfriend out of this house, [member="Commander Orin"].

I think he's cheating on me with this Ham Solo fellow, they're always talking.

*squeaks sadly*
