Description: The "Skater" Model-III is the third installment of the highly modular "Skater" model Hound. Designed to be adaptable to a variety of situations, the makers of this Hound chose a humanoid structure do to the success of humanoid droids in combat and other scenarios. The highly sensitive photresceptors that relay live images to the Rider's implant are located on the droid's head and protected by a retractable layer of armor. When the armor is retracted it is possible to send finer details as well such as wind speed and humidity. The droid is also equipped with two reel anchors that can be used as grappling hooks and aid in maneuvering through distressing obstacles. The stock Reel Anchors are magnetic as well.

Praised for its light frame and durable bipedal tracks that give it its name, the Skater is also incredibly modular. Though whether or not that is good for the Rider or Hound is up for debate. This droid is seen regularly in underground races due to the ease of equipping cheap weapons and modification of restrictions and systems within the stock droid brain. Despite its bad press in the world of Droid Racing however, it is a strong favorite in Mandalorian space.
