Intent: To create a unique weapon for Sith Assassins that is quiet, easy to conceal, and able to hold against lightsabers on the defense.

Development Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/52343-tinkering-pm-for-invite/

Manufacturer: Darth Ferus

Model: Sith Hidden Blade

Affiliation: One Sith Assassins

Modularity:

The 'Sith Lanvarok' Edition: The blade has the ability to be launched similar to the Sith Ianvarok. Unlike the Ianvarok, it is far easier to load, but similarly it is far from as powerful. On top of this, the blade is single, and can be easily deflected unlike the Ianvarok. If you're looking for a quiet kill from a distance and your target is armorless, this is your blade.

Statistics of the Ianvarok Blade:

  • Length: .38 m.
  • Material: Alchemised Durasteel

(The second blade is that small one off to the side of the main group.)

The 'Sith Poison' Edition: A second, needle like blade is attached beside the original blade. Hollow and hooked to a separate spring system, a Sith Assassin can load it with poison, and use it for much more discrete kills. This hollow blade is fragile however, and enough pressure would break its edge. Any poison can be used, and it takes an injection for it to work. The blade itself cannot pierce any sort of hard metal armor, but leather and cloth is not as much of an issue. So long as it's used more for a quick poke or scratch however, the blade is highly effective for out of combat kills. In combat, the second needle blade is more likely to break. If you're looking to avoid any sort of combat, this is your blade.

Statistics for the poison blade:

  • Length: .15 m.
  • Material: Alchemised Durasteel

Due to the mechanisms needed for either to work, the wielder can only have one or the other before compromising it's hidden form.

Production: Limited

Material: Alchemised durasteel, springs, nuts, and bolts.

Classification: Hidden Blade

Size: One Handed

Length: Blade: .38 m.

Weight: 1 kg

Special Features:

  • Impervious to Lightsabers
  • The ability to absorb and release on contact electrical currents such as Force Lightning
  • Reflect and redirect blasters
  • No Force Signature

Description: There is subtle blades, such as daggers slipped into ones boot. Then there are hidden blades. These blades are designed to be hidden from sight. Utilizing a bracer, one could wear this without anyone knowing that wielder had a deadly weapon a mere flick of a finger away. While the blades one and only purpose is assassination, the bracer comes as a defense against not only lightsabers or lasers, but lighting. This in turn can be used as a weapon itself to stun or kill an opponent with a sudden jolt of electricity.

These are given only to Sith Assassins that have proven themselves, limiting these to only those who would have had Ferus himself make them their blades. Unlike the Sith Swords they were made similar to, however, they did not have any signature in the Force. Having a presence would only alert those around the wielder if they were Force Sensitive. But this comes at the cost of the blade being unable to empower it's user like it's counter part. On top of this, while the bracer is good for defense, the blade itself is not, and would only get in the way of a melee fight without intensive training to use it effectively.

[member="Darth Ferus"] - Couple of notes:

  • I need to be pedantic here and ask you WHAT metal it is you alchemized for this. I don't care what your answer is, but it is important for your opponents to know, and for me to know when judging. It can't be a mystery metal.
  • Does this blade come with a default poison, or is it just ANY poison?
  • The lavnarok edition I don't like being essentially a suped up lav with no other weaknesses, without dev
  • You do realize a hollow blade with (as you said) thin walls, like your poison model would likely not stand up to enough force to be able to pierce someone with poison and not crumple, bend, or set?
  • How is the poison delivered? Injection? What kind of injection system?

Secondly, one these questions are answered and edits made, be aware I am likely going to ask for a short dev to to modularity and the alchemical abilities. Your edits and the form you chose for the sub after them will determine how long. Cheers!

Modified.

Quick notes about the modifications:

-Alchemised Durasteel
-Any poison
-The Ianvarok does not have the multi disk shoot function and is just a single blade. Easier to reload, but also easier to deflect.
-Second blade for the 'Sith Poison' edition is a small needle like blade. It's not used for combat but a quick poke or scratch
-Injection, unsure what you mean by injection system.

Further notes upon review:

  • What metal are the discs?
  • What rough size are the disc(s)?
  • Same questions above on size, but for the needle and blade(s)
As it stands right now, we're looking at.. Due to the alchemical properties, production volume, and ability, a quality 10 post dev thread minimum.
Details i'll be looking for:
  • Construction and design
  • Test of both weapons
  • Results of the above test(s) in the dev thread
These are factors important so someone can know how to counter them and fight against these weapon.

My misread... Kindly please still answer the other questions, since they still remain unanswered despite being asked and just transfer the question about discs to the blade. Thank you.
