- METHOD 1 - Sacrificing a small portion of one's own lifeforce to safely create a weaker mixture.
- METHOD 2 - Sacrificing another's life to create a potent, long lasting mixture.
- Stolen Youth ~ Sith healing baths by imparting ritually sacrificed lifeforce upon the bather, extending their life by slowing the body's aging process. Regular bathing could promote good health and retain youth indefinitely, if provided the resources.
- Taozin Oil ~ Taozin excretions were processed into a fine oil mixed into the healing bathes, which masked the substance's inherent dark side energy from others, particularly useful for conducting business in Jedi territory.
- Regular Upkeep ~ Though Sith healing baths extended one's lifespan in that it slowed aging, it required regular bathing to do so. It was generally recommended to take at least one bath a week, although some bathed daily just to be sure.

They were however difficult to transport in large batches or travel with, often kept at home in a secure location.

Sith healing baths were the brainchild two Sith alchemists—
Darth Anathemous
and
Vakhari Lutris
—who developed them during the former's quest for immortality. Combining the Arkanian's understanding of Alchemy and Anathemous' knowledge of force imbuing, they concocted a liquid which could transfer the living essence of sacrificed foes into another.While not true immortality, regular bathing in the alchemical mixture could extend one's lifespan for a time by preserving physical youth.
The creation of these healing baths was a closely guarded secret, esoteric knowledge which none but Anathemous herself knew the full scope of. They were produced exclusively by her agents, while the most powerful, long lasting variants were made by her hand alone.
Each vat was given only to select clientele, often within her own circle.
