Silver

Location: Naboo, in a meadow

At the end of the day, Aria considered herself to be in between the Dark and Light sides of the Force. However, it was only approximately five in the morning, and the Order of the Silver Jedi seemed like the perfect place for her at the moment. She would travel, she would learn, and she would be protecting the galaxy from evil. So when a Silver Jedi Master had offered to finish her training, not accepting would have been foolish. She'd agreed to meet on Naboo simply because she loved its peaceful and beautiful environment - it was similar in a way to Eshan. Waiting now to meet her master, Aria sat in the meadow with her eyes closed, enjoying the presence of nature.

Naboo was a beautiful world as the jedi master moved quickly overhead. The cities were picturesque and more then that there was the countryside where a whole lot of waterfalls and grass was. She was coming to meet a padawan or apprentice either way the girl showed some talent and really that was what mattered with the jedi master when she was coming down from the technique wiping her robes to straighten them. Her long black hair in thick braids behind her shoulders and down to her ankles. Sabers on her thigh while her saber disc was on her hip and the getsuga on her back before she shifted it to her hips. The strap to attach it over her shoulder before she flicked a finger over the twin songsteel blades, her fans and her equipment ready to work on some of the things. "A very beautiful place."

"It is." Aria still had her eyes closed and was only half-conscious, but she knew her master was there and so got up, rubbing her eyes slightly. She saw her master switch on her twin lightsaber blades, and took her own lightsaber from the belt across her robe. As she switched it on, she appreciated its quiet humming sound for a moment - Aria had never been one to use words a lot, and instead liked to focus on other senses.

Matsu looked at her for a moment and kept her attention on some of the things there watching the girl. Hands on her twin sabers but she didn't activate them just yet standing still as she waited there for a moment. "Careful you must always pay attention to who and what you fight and duel. What would you do if I was a sith lord padawan?" She twirled the sabers into reverse grips in her hands as the two blades were ready and focused for anything she had around herself moving forward a little locking her arms behind her back with the sabers in her hands clenched tightly under the gloves and her robes.

"I'd run." Aria smiled slightly as she brought the lightsaber up. "In fact, I wouldn't even be here."

One lightsaber against two seemed an obvious disadvantage, but years of combat training would have certainly levelled the playing field. This would be different from Echani fights, but she had plenty of experience in lightsaber duels all the same - there were very few forms of combat Aria didn't have experience in by now, but unfortunately lightsaber duels were her weak link. Not by much, certainly, but this was a Master in front of her. The only obvious way to win was to disarm her - unless of course, the drawn lightsabers were for something else.

Matsu watched her and saw the saber as she kept her hands behind her back speaking but moving to the side. "Well that is a good start, there is no problem in running when you need to. A dangerous situation is still going to be a problem but you might be able to buy the time needed to figure it out." As she moved keeping herself at a safe distance but still not turning on the lightsabers the jedi master focused on the force to move a bit faster. "Alright when you are ready for it, begin." She was ready herself, same with her other padawans who liked the idea of combat, let them show what they could do but switch it up as the battle went on... Plus if she got in a lot of trouble there was always the safety of her force skills.

Aria usually preferred to offer the first move to her opponent, but her master had gotten there first and since she was the master, it was likely that the advantage would be necessary. She would have felt politer if Matsu had at least switched on her lightsabers, but Aria knew they wouldn't be her only weapon. So she began.
As her lightsaber shone with its turquoise light, she swung it into her arm. The blow was not as hard to dodge as a strike to the chest would have been, but Aria was a fighter, not a killer. Her goal during a fight of any kind was to disable, perhaps even seriously injure, but even when she knew her opponent could dodge it, she would never go in for the kill if there was another choice.

Looking at the padawan and her strike was the first thing. Slowly letting the force guide her movement while she was moving. A dodge was easy it was letting the force work instinctually instead of over thinking it where others came up short or into dangerous situations. With Matsu not activating the sabers just yet but she backstepped to dodge quickly letting the force collect and expel from her legs so that she would be able to move faster then a few with force speed. Just like when they were working on foot placement and power in basic saber training she stayed off to the side side stepping while her body twisted in circle walks to make small whisps of white energy and wind.

Her master's reluctance to use her sabers wasn't Aria's favourite thing in the world, but then again fencing and swordfighting were already down as things she could do. Harnessing the Force like her master was doing was not there yet, so she supposed that was what she ought to focus on. That said, she'd keep her own lightsaber on. Focusing on the Force and the Force alone, she summoned up a well of energy and sent it flying towards Matsu.

There we go, she was getting the girl to try something while she was moving with her attention on the girl. THe burst of force energy coming at her while the jedi master remained there bringing her hand out as she pushed to meet the force leaving the saber there for a moment. Force energy coming before she moved quickly to close the distance and repulsed the energy from her hand towards the footing and ground to disrupt it. Her eyes remaining almost unblinking as she prepared to work with her and offer some more combat.

Although she typically preferred combat, there was something truly mesmerising about feeling the flow of the Force everywhere and then harnessing it. It made you feel at one with everything, and that was something Aria was always trying to achieve in whatever way she could. As the woman closed the distance, Aria brought both hands together to push off the ground with the Force - running, like she had said, although she was actually flying. she floated for a few glorious seconds before landing lightly and gracefully on her feet several meters behind the woman. Pushing another stronger wave of Force energy towards her before she could turn, Aria marvelled at her power - the Force's power.

Matsu could feel her while she was moving, the girl had some sense and knew what to work with as the jedi master sensed her behind her. Moving with the blast of force energy kicking up off the ground while she flipped letting the force move with herself. Turning and floating in midair as she was upside down looking at the padawan and returning her hands behind her back. Telekinetic flight was easy when you practiced and what better time to practice then when you let others launch you into the air. If she wanted though the sigil she had worked on to make into the ultimate jedi tool would and could easily protect but this was about seeing what the girl could do over just attacking her. "Good but careful you do not tire yourself out. The force can take a lot out of a person."

Aria gave her a small nod in response. She was right - it was rather draining. Thankfully she was full of energy still and felt like she could stay in the air for a little while longer before returning to the ground. However, her push which had been supposed to send the woman backwards had instead been used to launch her upwards, and as much fun as flying was, the only difference between an airborne duel and a grounded one was that the former was more tiring. If she stayed in the air though, she could have an advantage, so she gathered up her energy and sent another wave of Force power to slam into the woman and send her downwards.

Matsu watched her while she was moving and looked up to see the padawan coming down at her, going for the impact strike while she kept her ground suspended in the air hovering while she shaped the air and the force into a nice repulse so she could remain there and try to launch the padawan back up into the air turning most of her attention to staying up. She could easily do it and hurt the girl but she was working to ensure she was safe and learning over some of the things. She wanted her attention to be on focusing her actions, focusing on building up that stamina the jedi needed to work and duel or use the force. You needed to start somewhere with building up your stamina.

By now staying airborne was quite an effort, but the Force was plentiful and it could sustain her energy for a little longer. Aria concentrated, letting the Force out to push away anything her master was sending her way or preparing to. Breathing heavily, she tried to make the Force's energy her own, letting it keep her floating while she tried to think of her next move. She wanted to bring the other woman down to the ground while remaining airborne herself, but every blast of Force energy she sent her way would be blocked and would take a little more energy out of her, so she would have to go at it twice as hard. With a flick of her wrist her lightsaber left her grip and sailed over to the woman, and with another a powerful wave of Force energy was doing the same. Dodging the lightsaber would distract her long enough to let the wave ground her again - at least, that was what Aria hoped. If it didn't work she would have used up the last of her strength and then she would be the one on the ground.

The jedi master maintained her sight on the padawan while staying still. Hand shimmering when it came up with blue energy shimmering on it as she remained there. Allowing the tutaminis covered hand to block the saber over moving into a force blast with a look at the padawan. Her skill was in knowing when and where to use different skills over one solid path. Also helped when you trained constantly to use the force for keeping your stamina up while her other hand came out and she focused the force of will into a shield. Nullification of force attacks was something people didn't train when energy shimmered over her hand in a green cascade before she was staying up there in the air. Watching the padawan and absorbing with one hand while nullifying with the other.

Continuing to use the Force to keep her in the air, Aria watched in dismay as her attack was blocked. She reached out and pulled her lightsaber back into her hand. It was evident that basic attacks, even multiple ones, weren't enough to take her master down. Her most advanced moves, however, all went under martial arts, something that was rather difficult to do in the air, and besides it wasn't really Force training. Aria didn't mind failure, but she never went down without a fight, so she assumed an attacking position, brought herself closer to her master, and sent the blade of her lightsaber swinging into her head.

Looking at her when she was coming in for the fight the jedi master moved a little, her feet touching distorted energy from shaped air before she ducked down and tucked in to dodge. Pushing off with the force and rising up into the air while she moved with her feet and boots projecting the force into two solid kicks to go for the strikes. Flying was easier now without the weight of armor and the ever present calmness that came from her saber crystals. She was letting force energy come out while keeping her hands behind her back before risng up higher with the flight techniques for tripzest combat styles she could do.

Aria moved her lightsaber to block the kicks of Force power that had been sent towards her. By now she was so intently focused on the duel that she'd forgotten to put effort into staying afloat, which was evidently the correct way to stay consistently airborne. She would be able to stay like this indefinitely now - she smiled to herself, considering it another step towards Mastery or rather her closer goal, Knighthood.

As she took in how comfortable the Jedi Master was flying, she deduced that trying to send her to the ground would be the same as somebody else attempting to unbalance Aria - energy-consuming and futile. The obvious course of action would be to treat it like a surface duel, but in surface duels Aria would either be attempting to block off danger if she was being attacked, which wasn't really the case here, or if it was a friendly duel she would be attempting to get her opponent on their back - something rather hard to do in the air. She came to the conclusion that a Silver Jedi's job was to eliminate danger, which typically came in the form of Sith, and with Sith the only definite way to take them down was to kill them. With all that in mind, she began to pull the master towards her, lightsaber at the ready.

Matsu watched her more intently keeping her hands behind her back while she continued to hover in the air.... THen she felt it a pull from the padawan towards her blade while she repulsed to counter and remained there. Her eyes looking at her while she focused and thought about what she could do.... several things. A dampening field would be mean, make it so her force powers don't work, or she could continue to fly around and throw out attacks while letting her get tired... or show the dangers of flying and having your saber out as it made you a powerful lightning rod for storm... Or one of several others things she could do before the obvious one of a shadowstrike towards her to let the force strikes bypass attacks. "You want to be careful you don't fall padawan."
