OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • City Name: Silvark
  • Classification: Metropolis
  • Location: Mikko
  • Affiliation: Emperor Solomon via the Mikkoni Empire
  • Demographics: Silvark is highly populated by the Lyrkon species though there is a very small population of humans, bothans and twi'leks that live there along with temporary citizens in the form of traders, sightseers and travelers.
  • Wealth: High
    - As the largest city near the capital, Silvark is a highly wealthy city with it's wealth dispersed across the vast society in place there. While there are classes from low to high class, none of them are outwardly impoverished by the others due to the consideration of the Emperor for the well being of his people.
  • Stability: High
    - Following the collapse of Absalom M'Raki's rebellion, the city of Silvark was the first location where many who supported Absalom retreated to live and fall under the regulation and peace of the new Emperor Solomon M'Raki. There is a minor level of crime within the more outlying regions of the city, but near it's center, and the large skyscrapers located there, crime is next to impossible to find unless one were to actually pay to see something take place.
  • Description: As the largest city near the capital of Mikko, Silvark is a vast and highly populated city with hundreds of buildings dedicated to commerce, housing and community. From the center outward the larger buildings become fewer and farther between, with a large collective of skyscrapers located towards it's center. These towers are often dedicated to a combination of commerce and housing while the rest tend to lean one way or the other.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Empress' Square: Located near the center of the city, and surrounded on all sides by buildings, is a plot of land on which Emperor Zedekiah's wife built an exquisite complex for any and all individuals to gather together and interact without fretting about the world outside. Within this structure are gardens, shopping centers, record halls and a great many other promotions to civilian life; at it's edges are discrete security checkpoints designed to protect the people coming and going and not to encourage fear.

VanLa'al Institute: Located at the center of Silvark is the VanLa'al Institute. At first glance the tower, by construction, appears as nothing different from any of the other skyscrapers across Silvark. However, upon closer inspection the building stands from the ground up, with numerous support networks, as a beacon of education within the city; housing at least a hundred floors and nearly ten times that number in classrooms and housing complexes. While it is not the core of the Mikkoni education system, it stands as one of the biggest sources of the planet's devotion to advancement.

Absalom Military Compound: Near the outer edge of the city, close to the side closest to the capital, is located the military compound named after the late Emperor Zedekiah's son Absalom. While the compound is now dedicated to the security of the city and it's surrounding land, it was once sought to be used as a war base against Solomon and his forces during the civil war. Second in size only to the military base located in the capital city, the Absalom Military Compound possesses grounds, housing and facilities to serve it's purpose should the planet ever be invaded.

Silvark Rail Network: Throughout the city of Silvark is an intricate but somewhat simple light rail network that carries passengers to each point of the city with relative ease. With trains running at intervals, each key point of the rail system is managed by a facility dedicated to power and communication across the entire line.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Constructed at the beginning of Emperor Solomon's grandfather's reign, the city of Silvark stands as a representation of Mikko's welcoming of outside peoples to their planet. While the incoming population of off worlders did not boom until the reign of Emperor Zedekiah, Solomon and Tamar's father, the city's purpose did not change. While the city did see a decline in quality during the control of it by Absalom M'Raki it made a quick rebound in the following months back to the positive, and upscale, quality of life that Zedekiah established years prior.

The remains of Absalom's supporters surrendered their positions and were ushered calmly, and peacefully, into the unpopulated homes and complexes within the borders of Silvark. By the good will of Emperor Solomon, the people quickly regained their status and were quick to welcome Solomon's rule with the influence of the spirits and quiet, but loud, voice of the spiritualists sprinkled about Mikkoni society. What began as a city of commerce, peace and economy would remain so for as long as the empire continued to maintain it's civilian promotions. Zedekiah's father had built it to represent Mikko's outreach, Solomon would continue in his footsteps.
