  • GENERAL INFORMATION

Silas Torren is a young Lorrdian whose life began in the shadowed underlevels of Kanz City, where survival was an art form and silence often spoke louder than words. Orphaned early, he grew up navigating the city’s narrow alleys and shifting loyalties, relying on a rare gift of perception that allowed him to read emotion and intent as easily as others read faces. What began as instinct soon became something deeper, a quiet attunement to the ebb and flow of life around him, an untrained connection to the Force that guided his every step.

By the time he reached his teens, Silas had become a figure of quiet renown among Lorrd’s street survivors, a boy who could see trouble before it started and vanish before it found him. Though hardened by circumstance, he carried an unspoken sense of purpose, a yearning for stillness that had no place in the chaos of the streets. It was this calm amid disorder that drew the attention of a visiting Jedi, who recognized in Silas not just intuition, but a latent sensitivity to the Force itself.

Now training at the Naboo Enclave, Silas stands on uncertain ground, too old to be a typical initiate, too instinctive to fit neatly into the Order’s structure. He is a Padawan without a master, studying among younger learners while trying to reconcile the discipline of the Jedi with the pragmatism of a survivor. Quiet, observant, and deeply introspective, Silas seeks not power but understanding, to master not the world around him, but the constant motion within himself.

  • HISTORY
Silas Torren was born in the lower levels of Kanz City on Lorrd, where the light of the upper towers barely reached the streets below. His parents were laborers lost to the mines and the blockade, leaving him to survive among the city’s castoffs. From an early age, Silas displayed the natural perceptiveness of his people, the Lorrdians’ gift for reading movement and micro-expression, but his intuition went beyond that. He could sense intent before it took shape, danger before it struck. On the streets, it kept him alive. Among thieves and syndicates, it made him valuable.

He grew into a quiet, deliberate young man, known more for watching than speaking. He could defuse fights with a glance, vanish before patrols arrived, and predict which way the crowd would turn before it happened. Yet beneath the calm exterior, there was a restlessness, a sense that his awareness meant something more than survival. He spent his nights on forgotten rooftops, watching the sky through the smog, wondering if peace existed anywhere beyond the noise.

When a Jedi envoy passed through Kanz City, one of them noticed the boy’s stillness amid the chaos of the streets, the way his presence didn’t react but listened. Tests confirmed what instinct already had: the Force flowed through him, subtle and quiet, entwined with his Lorrdian perception. Offered a chance to train, Silas accepted without hesitation. He left Lorrd at sixteen, carrying nothing but a frayed strip of cloth tied around his wrist, the last remnant of home, and a hope that, on Naboo, he might learn to understand the silence he’d been hearing his whole life.

  • APPEARANCE

Silas Torren is a young Lorrdian of lean, wiry build, a frame shaped more by survival than formal training. He carries himself with a stillness that feels deliberate, but beneath it is a restless energy, like a storm waiting for command. His hair is a tousled shade of dark brown that catches the light in copper tones, often unkempt despite his attempts at discipline. His eyes, a striking gray-blue common to his people, seem to study everything and everyone, not in judgment, but in understanding. When he looks at someone, it feels as though he’s already seen the thought before it’s spoken.

His features are sharp, almost severe, softened only by youth and a certain quiet weariness. There’s a faint scar along his jaw, a reminder of Lorrd’s rough streets, and a thin silver band of cloth tied around his wrist, his only keepsake from home. His posture is controlled, his movements efficient, betraying the micro-reading instincts of his species. Yet even when he’s still, there’s tension in him, a coiled readiness, as if he’s perpetually caught between fight and flight.

Silas dresses simply, favoring the muted earth tones of Naboo’s Jedi Enclave rather than the traditional robes. He rarely speaks more than necessary, but when he does, his voice carries a quiet intensity, measured, thoughtful, edged with the roughness of a life spent outside serenity. He possesses a quiet charisma born not of confidence, but conviction; a presence that hints at both brilliance and burden. He is a young man forged by hardship, guided by instinct, and haunted by the sense that the peace he seeks may never match the fire that drives him.

  • PERSONALITY

Perceptive – Silas reads people with uncanny accuracy, often noticing emotions and intentions others miss. His Lorrdian instincts and Force sensitivity make him deeply attuned to the subtle shifts in body language and tone, giving him an almost preternatural awareness of those around him.

Restless – Beneath his calm exterior lies a quiet turbulence. Silas struggles with stillness, driven by an unspoken need to do, to move, to understand, to change something. This restlessness pushes him forward but also keeps him teetering between discipline and impulse.

Stoic – Years of surviving Lorrd’s undercity taught Silas to mask fear, anger, and pain behind controlled expression. He feels deeply but rarely shows it, preferring silence to sympathy and action to comfort. His composure can seem cold, though it’s often a shield for empathy.

Idealistic – Despite his rough upbringing, Silas holds tightly to the belief that peace and justice are possible, even necessary. His experiences have hardened him, but not made him cynical; he seeks to bring order to chaos, to find meaning in the Force, and to prove that where he came from doesn’t define where he’s going.

    STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

    • Heightened Perception – Silas’s natural Lorrdian gift for reading micro-expressions and intent, amplified by his Force sensitivity, makes him extraordinarily aware of his surroundings. He can sense shifts in emotion, predict attacks, and detect lies or deception with ease.

Emotional Control Under Pressure – Years spent surviving the chaos of Lorrd’s undercity honed his ability to remain calm when others panic. He thinks clearly in crisis, often becoming the still point in moments of confusion or danger.

Adaptive Instincts – Resourceful and quick to learn, Silas excels at improvisation. Whether it’s combat, negotiation, or survival, he reads a situation fast and adjusts instinctively, rarely repeating the same mistake twice.

    • Restless Impulses – His calm demeanor masks a constant urge to act. Silas struggles with patience and often breaks from protocol when he feels inaction will lead to harm, sometimes creating more conflict than he prevents.

Difficulty Trusting Authority – Growing up in a world where trust was dangerous, Silas instinctively questions leadership and struggles with obedience — a dangerous flaw within the structured life of the Jedi Order.

Isolation Complex – Used to relying only on himself, Silas has trouble opening up emotionally or accepting help. His independence borders on detachment, making it hard for him to fully connect with peers or masters, even when he wants to.
