Description:
The Sight Armor as it is called is a suit of armor made for the Hapan Military forces that leave the Hapes Cluster.
This armor was specifically designed with Hapan Biology in mind. The armor itself is nothing special really. It consists of a simple singular bodysuit, over said bodysuit go several Armorplast plates that help protect against blaster fire and shrapnel. These armoplast plates sit atop the most vital areas of the body, that being the torso, the thighs, and the back.
Over this layer of armorplast plates goes a series of Armorweave garments. These garments are thin, only about the size of the average vest. Their purpose as well is to defend against low grade shrapnel and blaster-fire, allowing the Hapan Soldier to survive most minor engagements that they would meet both in small scale skirmishes, and larger battles.
The thing that makes this armor so special is its helmet and sensor systems.
The Hapans as is known throughout the galaxy suffer from something that Astraeus dubs “Night blindness”. This means that when Hapans go in the dark, they cannot see as well as other Humanoids. For them, dusk is pitch black night. To counter this effect and give the Hapans an effective means to fight in the night time Astraeus designed the Sight Armor.
Sight Armor comes equipped with not only the usual standard IR and Nightvision but an advanced sensor array. This array is fitted into the back of the helmet and the heavy 'collar' around the armor itself. It acts much like echolocation, sending out a pulse and bringing it back to the armor in order to locate targets around it. This helps the Hapan remain a perfect line of sight and also aids in locating hidden targets.
All in all, the Sight Armor is the perfect piece of equipment for the Hapan Military.
