After Akio’s escape from prison with The Black Hat, Seanna Vel, Kera Ticon, and Miss Blonde, he came across a quantity of the powerful metal known as Ultrachrome. Though this metal is often best used as an amor, the Chiss monk is one for total aestheticism; he does not own more than he can carry upon his person and is a vigilant nomad who wanders the stars. Using the divinations of the Force he decided to construct one of the most ancient and noble of weapons from his order, the Monk Spade. The double ended weapon for most is unwieldy, and hard to use without inflicting self-harm. However, Akio had been trained in the uses of it from the days of his youth and was well accustomed in the nature of their uses and their intent. In the center of the weapon he added one sight alteration; a holding chamber for a crystal. This chamber is incredibly small and can only hold one crystal at a time. The special ability of the crystal then applies to either the user or the weapon when appropriate. Aside from that its really just a monk spade made out of ultrachrome. However, its two ends are highly effective at swatting away blaster and lightsaber attacks, just like an ultrachrome shield would be.
Covering the entire Ultrachrome shaft is a thick layer of insulation, this prevents the user from being burned by the intense heat that can result from fighting lightsabers with this combat weapon.

@Akio Diachi

The only real issue here, and it's a biggish one but easily solved, is that against a lightsabre this'll get uncomfortably hot, then burn your hands, long before melting away becomes an issue. There's any number of ways you could address that, so go nuts.
