Description: The Shrike-Class, based on a mythical bird presumably of Corellian origin, is a main battle walker commissioned for the Crystalsong Commonwealth and also available via contract to other galactic governments. It is considerably large compared to Imperial bipedal walkers such as the AT-ST. However, it was designed almost exclusively for combat.

The chassis consists of an armored durasteel core housing a large diatium energy cell as well as two smaller reserve cells in case of main power failure. The main cockpit, where the pilot is stationed, is on the top of the walker, slightly offset towards the rear, and has an almost three hundred and sixty degree field of vision. The second cockpit is in the front (nose), is slightly tighter, only has a forward field of vision and must be accessed separately from a hatch and automated scaffolding behind the main turret. The Shrike only requires one pilot to operate, but has reserve drive controls in the gunner cockpit and is more efficient with a two-person crew.

Both the pilot and gunner cockpits have a standard heads-up display relevant to their positions. A combat multi-view display on their dashboards assists with target acquisition. Targeting computers feed information to the HUD and CMD. Both the pilot and gunner wear MFTAS-enabled helmets to integrate with the walker's systems. The main chassis contains four maneuvering thrusters; one in each quadrant. These thrusters, while insufficient to gain altitude in 1G-enviromnents, are capable of slowing the descent of the walker to safe landing speeds.

Adamithium extra armor plating is also sold as an add-on to the Shrike-Class, which covers major areas on the core and launchers with a chemical-energy-resistant material. The downside to this add-on, aside from a slight increase in overall weight, is that these plates are fragile to ballistics, expensive and must be replaced in whole pieces when damaged as they are irreparable.

The Shrike-Class's nano missiles are 1:5 with standard concussion warheads. In total, the Beta configuration has the equivalent ballistic power of eight concussion missiles. Entire quantities can be individually assigned to different targets by the gunner so long as the targeting computers are reading each desired target. The Beta configuration's twin ion cannon turret is remotely operated by the gunner (it is not related to the SW-4, this is simply a reference).
