Description:
Shredders are Reclaimer's variant of the famous hollow point round. A bullet meant to destroy tissue, increase bleeding, and the chances of shock. It's a great round for home or personal defense and the name basically sums up what the round does.
How it's built. There's not a lot to say about the shredders construction. It's a basic lead slug with a hollowed out projectile. There's the same amount of propellent as there would be any other slug but rather than having a solid lead or copper slug the tip and mid section are hollowed out to make this round destructive against soft targets. This however lessons it's velocity.
Power. Meant for unarmored targets this round will put someone on the ground and keep them there, and if it doesn't it will make sure they are bleeding out. The round rather than passing through like other solid projectiles this slug break apart on entry tearing through organs, muscle, veins, creating an absolute surgical nightmare of a wound that can be very hard to survive if hit in the torso. The slug is meant to destroy soft targets and will cause massive amounts of internal and external bleeding, it's a mean customer and will make sure enemies are hurting or dead when they hit.
Drawbacks. Armored targets can shrug these rounds off, while they can still hit hard they might crack a rib at best when they hit heavily armored targets. While maybe a fifty caliber or forty four has the capacity to blow through a basic ballistic vest plate armor will completely stand up to any caliber this bullet has to offer.
Summary. A great round for unarmored targets this will maximize internal damage and see to it that if a person is hit by this round the injuries will be substantial. While it's terrible against armored opponents the slug will shine when it comes to stopping your basic home intruder.
