[*]Description: A towering ziggarut, Xiaolang Palace stands out over Xam'Chi City and is clearly visible from Ike Peak overlooking the city. Its design relies heavily on space and air-borne defenses, being only guarded by two autoturrets. It is heavily shielded, with a star destroyer grade shield that provides particle and ray shield coverage for the facility and complex surrounding it. A starport lies to one side, where Galactic Alliance Defense Force personnel administer air and space traffic moving in and out of the planetary seat of government. The basement is home to the primary shield generator complex of Atrisia's planetary shield.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Atrisian Parliament
With the destruction of the historical planetary capital of Jar'Kai in 849ABY, the seat of government was reconstituted at the city of Xam'Chi, the seat of government for the Xiaolang region. Of the remaining 9 notional kingdoms of Atrisia, there are 3 delegates appointed to represent each region to the Parliament; a senior represented and two junior delegates. This section of the structure houses the parliamentary chambers, offices of the delegates, and their support staff.

Palace Residence
The hereditary home of the House of Atrisia line descended from [member="Sawa Ike"], the palace is the historical seat from which the ruler of the Xiaolang region has held court. Today, it serves as home to the delegates from all surviving regions of Atrisia.

Palace Starport
Housing the GADF squadrons that provide for Atrisia's air defense, the starport is also the primary means by which government and corporate individuals conducting business with the planet arrive and depart.

Shield Generator Complex
The headquarters complex houses the primary control center for Atrisia's planetary shield.

DEFENSES

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Xiaolong Palace dates back to the Old Republic, having been the seat of power for the Xiaolang King during the era of Twelve Warring Kingdoms in Atrisia's distant past. Some of the artwork still present in the castle comes from Xiaolang's conquest of neighboring Quan'Lo, a fact that remains open to protest and dispute to the modern era. When the Kitel Phard Dynasty united the Nine Kingdoms, the Xiaolang Palace became home to the government offices for the vassal or feudal lord who oversaw the administration of what was dubbed the Xiaolang Autonomous Administrative Region. It was at this point that a descendant of [member="Sawa Ike"] rose to prominence, creating the line of descendants that would come to be known as the House of Atrisia with the Ike dynasty.

The current physical structure was erected during the first Galactic Empire, though not completed until 9 ABY. It was heavily damaged during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, with reconstruction taking place through the Swarm War and not completed until 127 ABY. Throughout the Gulag Plague and Clockwork Rebellion, the palace continued to serve as government offices supporting the Imperial Remnant splinter faction that came to prominence as the Atrisian Empire of Emperor [member="Akio Kahoshi"].

During Atrisia's occupation by the Empire of the One Sith, the Xiaolang Palace was used as a summer palace by Emperor [member="Mythos"].

As Xiaolang is on the opposite side of the planet from the Imperial City of Jar'Kai, the palace and surrounding city of Xam'Chi was relatively unscathed by the Battle of Atrisia that waged between the One Sith and the Galactic Alliance in 849 ABY. By 851 ABY, reconstruction efforts by the Galactic Alliance and several corporate donors had resulted in normal governmental activities resuming on the planet Atrisia out of the Xiaolang Palace, making it the temporary world headquarters while reconstruction of Jar'Kai continues.
