Modularity: The power cell could be swapped out, other than that...potential upgrades could be made. The laser could be changed out for something else, for example, or the shock feature replaced by another defense.

Description:
As a human, Warren lacked the abilities he had as a droid. This led to the creation of a gadget for himself to simulate a couple of the abilities he possessed as a droid. These gloves which are armor, reach all the way from the elbow and cover the hands completely. These can shoot generate energy spheres, and basically toss them like grenades at an opponent. There is however a couple more uses that can be done.
The gloves can electrify, and deliver immobilizing, or even lethal levels of voltage to anyone via a mere touch. Of course they're properly shielded and insulated so as to prevent them from killing Warren. These have a DNA scanner built in, so only Warren can use them. As one of his first 'creations' since he became human, more fire power was clearly needed. So what Warren did was install a wrist laser of sorts into both of them, that he can activate via a neural scanner inside of the gauntlets, allowing them to be controlled by his thoughts.
