Unknown Regions, Deep Space
851 ABY

Isolated, the ship that once served as the Dark Master's home and place of work drifted. Since it's exodus from the Galaxy and the Superpowers of old Four Hundred years ago, the ship today serves as a resting place of limitless knowledge and power... Or so the legends go. As the Dark Master twisted and turned his crew and subjects into their new hideous forms with undying servitude the pressing matter on their new savage and enslaved minds, the knowledge of the rituals and components required to amass such a amazing yet horrifying bestiary of art remained locked away within the confines of that very ship. The 'Ship of Demons' the legends call it, a place where many have gone to venture and explore with the dreams of returning with riches of unspeakable possibility find themselves cursed by their own greed to rest upon that very ship, leaving their name and legacy to drift away into nothingness, much like the poor fate of the Dark Master who's ambitions took him to the very end... Though with such a heavy mystery placed upon the vessel and its inhuman passengers, what really happened is left to speculation and imagination.

That is, until Darth Metus caught wind of these rumors. Through hearsay, something must have clearly caught his ear and his attention, for he quickly sent a party to find the ship of legend, hoping to figure out the layer upon layer of secrets that shroud the Ship of Demons in mystery. Perhaps he wished for the knowledge of the Dark Arts that the Master had spent countless years mastering, perhaps he wished to tap into his legions of abominations for his own sinister plans. The CIS utilized droids, that much was obvious. Perhaps this was a chance to blend machine with beast.

Whatever the case, the expedition team was set up and sent towards the Unknown Regions, hoping to find exactly what they were looking for.

The 'Ship of Demons', huh? Akabane didn't believe in a lot of things, as one could guess demons were among them. He believed there was an explanation for everything. Still, exploring was something he enjoyed doing. The mysterious ship recieved his master's attention, giving him a chance to see if the rumors had any truth to them.

Metus sent another to aid in the search, a massive wolfman. He knew little about Mirvak. Starting a conversation felt right while they approached the coordinates. "You think there's anything out here?" he asked wanting to know his thoughts on the ship. "I mean, besides the space whales." he said chuckling at his own joke.

Akabane wasn't expecting the infamous 'Ship of Demons' to be floating around in the Unknown Regions of space. The location added even more mystery to it though, intriguing him more. Finding exactly where the ship was seemed like a difficult task. Before entering the unknown regions, they asked around in attempt to gain some information. People heard of the legend but most didn't have anything useful to say. That meant the only way finding the ship would be by luck. Unless, demons really existed and revealed their location.

"Keep your eyes peeled. We're looking for a fairly large ship." he stopped for a moment. "There's a good chance she ain't pretty too."

Mirvak

Some chains are better left unbroken.
Mirvak had already been given much more leeway than any of his previous masters ever afforded him. He was entrusted to search for some rumor with another one of the Darth's pawns. He had his back turned to [member="Akabane Jarvik"] as he looked out a window. As the apprentice spoke to him, he peered over his shoulder, affording him only a quick careless glance as he returned to looking out the window. He clearly wasn't a big fan of making conversation.

"Those fools were lying to us." He growled as he hunched over and slowly paced to another window. "We chase a ghost, not a wreckage."

Mirvak was assured that this "Ship of Demons" was just a myth. As he peered out into the blackness of space, he grew angry at the prospect of being errand boy for a ship that did not exist. He lumbered over to the scanner console on the ship, ignorant of how to use it, he merely peered at the screen. "Do you expect us to find with our eyes?" He asked, as he stared at the screen, waiting for something to pop up. He clearly didn't seem patient about the whole ordeal.

The expedition continue their push into the Unknown Regions, to the last known location of the 'Ship of Demons', though for the most part came up fruitless. All seemed lost until the vessel was able to get a glance upon an asteroid field, drifting in the light of a nearby star as it's radiant glow seeped through the cracks between each individual rock that made the formation. Whilst asteroid fields were a natural occurrence, something about this felt off, unnatural, artificial. The rocks themselves looked as authentic as any but the formation and the way they seemed to hold a very specific cluster, one could guess it looked like some form of natural shield, a curtain to hide something behind it or in this case in the center of it. Alongside the asteroids in question, pieces of debris floated among the asteroids themselves, creating an even larger 'minefield' that had to be avoided. It seemed impossible to get through yet those that were Force Sensitive felt the Dark Side of the Force drawing them to the center, calling to them like a siren.

It was here, they needed to only reach out a grasp it.

Navigating through the field of asteroids and debris, extremely carefully at that, they left the light of the sun behind and entered the void, a darkness that was created by the very field that seemed to hold itself up around the epicenter. Despite the near impossible navigation that clearly lead to the death of many an explorer that dared try and reach the same prize that this expedition set out to claim, openings presented themselves and the field seemed to act upon its own accord rather than as an active countermeasure. Whatever had caused it, was clearly no longer being able to do so, leaving the simple and sluggish drift of the field to leave it in a static state of affairs. Regardless, the careful approach inward eventually got the vessel to clear space to find... Exactly what they were looking for.

The Ship of Demons sat drifting in the center of the field that it once used as its protection, now acting as an active warning and a way to hide itself from the eyes of the Galaxy. Whilst rumors had made it out to be something akin to a Dreadnought, the ship was quite underwhelming in that manner, something more akin to a Corvette or similar size. Perhaps that was the sad but humorous irony of the whole thing. Home to a man with such high ambitions on a Galactic scale, only to have his final resting place be aboard a small ship in the middle of nowhere. Derelict and had clearly seen better days about Four Hundred years out, the exterior appeared battered but not compromised, suggesting that it had collided with an asteroid or two yet suffered not enough damage to penetrate the hull or compromise the exterior. Unlit and clearly belonging to a scrapyard or something similar with how time had treated it, their prize was there nonetheless, where none had succeeded before.

The only question now was getting aboard, if one were to look closely there was a hangar, that was perhaps their best bet.

His new friend also didn't believe in the rumors about the ship. Akabane laughed when he said they were chasing a ghost. "Maybe so. Master entrusted us with this mission however. I'm sure something deserving our attention is out here." he was certain that it wasn't a ship of demons though.

The wolfman appeared to be watching the scanner, probably hoping for the ship to show up. He looked at it himself and then faced forward again. Mirvak reply made him think. What will we do. Worst case scenario, they would go back empty handed. "Using our eyes should be more useful than a scanner, considering we're dealing with a demon ship." he said the last part sarcastically. Akabane had no trust in their sources, such a ship couldn't exist.

Akabane and Mirvak made their way deeper into the Unknown Regions. Coming upon an asteroid field he was surprised. Standing up and not taking his eyes off the sight, he asked a question. "Hey you're seeing this too, right?" it was strange, something didn't seem right. First, the formation of the asteroids was unnatural. He had never seen anything like it. There was another thing that bothered Akabane more than the rock formation. This feeling... this power... he sat back down. "Me might be in luck." with that said he went towards the dark energy.

Flying wasn't his best skill, but he somehow didn't get them killed. Akabane's jaw dropped when he saw an actual ship. He closed it a few seconds later, still experiencing shock. "Just to make sure. You see that too, right?" he wasn't for sure if this was the one, their source's described a much larger ship. He sighed, false information was okay at this point. They found a ship of some sort either way. "I can't believe it." he moved the ship's light around searching for any potential entrances. There! Akabane stopped the light on one part, a hangar.

After slowly entering the hangar and landing, he jumped out of his seat and yelled, "Hell yeah!" Akabane was happy, he and his fellow apprentice found a ghost ship. He still wasn't convinced demons existed, something dark was defiantly close though. "Be careful. We can't be sure what's living inside here." he grabbed all his gear and opened the ramp door. "I hope there's enough oxygen." he said jokingly.
