STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
- Shasmei has an exceptional connection to the Force. As a boy, discovered his sensitivity to the Force and was able to teach himself how to use it in very basic and rudimentary ways such as to move objects. Despite this however, his powers where extremely erratic due to his lack of training and could only use them to their fullest when enraged.
- In addition to his connection to the force, he has made numerous cybernetic modifications to his body to increase his abilities as a warrior. As such, he is far stronger and more durable than a normal being. Cybernetic components include both legs above the knee; the right arm and some of the upper body. He is also very skilled with a spear he hand-crafted from scraps of Durasteel.
- Despite his strengths, Shasmei suffers from numerous weaknesses to both his character and being. As it stands, Morsus has very little actual training in the Force. What little he knows is self-taught and requires a tremendous amount of concentration and anger to harness.
- Shasmei feels connected to machines and machinery, being a cyborg himself. As such he has difficulty, or outright refuses, to interact with organics. As a result Morsus mostly seen and not heard.
- Shasmei is so absorbed in his delusion that someone skillful in manipulation can easily make him do their bidding.
APPEARANCE:
Shasmei Rei Qualiim is almost always completely concealed within dark brown/black animal hide outfit similar to those found on his home planet of Kalee. His clothes are randomly wrapped in dark leather strips, particularly around his hands and wrists. His right shoulder has a crude metal pauldron strapped to his body via a leather belt that ties it to his tunic. His face is obscured by a dark hood and the traditional Kaleesh skull mask. Shasmei's mask is unique in the fact that half is normal and other half is pitch black, revealing only his cold golden eye. The colored half of the mask has three red lines above the right eye-socket that go all the way to the forehead. An additional two lines stretch down from the bottom of the socket, giving the illusion of tears. A loin cloth made from several leather strips sits on his waist and partially reveals his cybernetic legs. His cybernetic right arm is completely covered in clothing except for the wrist and elbow to allow 360 degree rotation.
BIOGRAPHY:
Shasmei Rei Qualiim was born an oprhan on his homeworld of Kalee, scavenging for basic materiels to survive in the wilderness. On one occasion, Shasmei came under attack by several predators while searching for food in the wild. Though he was able to kill many of the creatures with his spear, one of them snapped the weapon in half and left the Kaleesh defenseless. However in a moment fueled by rage and anger, Shasmei tapped into an invisible power then unknown to him to crush the skull of the first animal, then throw the last against a rock hard enough to break it's spine. Shasmei would repeatedly attempt to re-utilize this power, but could never replicate the results he performed in the jungle against his attackers. At best, he was able to break and levitate small stones, and even then it required a great deal of concentration.
In his later years, Shasmei would discover an old temple that had long been reclaimed by nature, and inside he would discover a piece of history belonging to his people that would change his life forever. Within the ruined temple was a shrine dedicated to the late Qymaen jai Sheelal, known to the galaxy forever more as General Grievous. Shasmei was fascinated with this individual; his achievements, his triumphs, and his downfall. Shasmei would eventually take up residence in this temple, reading the forbidden tomes within the shrine from sunrise to sunset. Eventually his worship became fanatic, even going as far as mutilating his own body and replacing limbs with cybernetics he was able to acquire illegally. All of this in an attempt to closer resemble his deity of worship. However Shasmei's imagination ran wild, and every day he began to delve into more bizarre fantasies. The most prominent was a recurring dream he would have that a mysterious voice would tell him that he was in fact, the rebirth of Grievous himself, and that he must seek out one who can assist him in fulfilling his destiny.
With his mind hellbent on the idea of reincarnation and rudimentary knowledge of the Force, Shasmei proceeded to leave his home world in pursuit of his ultimate destiny.
