Lilin was not a fan of Jedi Temples. She preferred other ways of teaching and training. Most of all, she was fond of adventures and missions. Yet both her mental state and the fact that she was going to learn as a New Jedi Order member didn't allow her to have a training outside the Temple.

So she was sitting in a chamber in the building, not even trying to meditate. She'd been told that while waiting for something, the best way to keep calm is by meditating. It was something which made Lilin feel only worse, though, so she didn't even try to do that at this time.

After all, she was going to be learning Soresu, which didn't mean so much of meditation done before that. She guessed if she was able to use her lightsaber well and focus, she didn't have to meditate at all.

Which, of course, was not very true.

The girl walked around the room, while patiently waiting for the teacher, Tionne, to arrive. She had no idea who the person was -- the only thing she knew was that she would be doing lightsaber training. What was interesting about it was that she had asked for Lilin to share her knowledge as well, with other lightsaber forms.

Which, she guessed, would make an interesting training session.

Tionne too was not a fan of Jedi Temples, residing in them only when it was absolutely neccessary, either for formalities or training. The atmosphere within edifices of Jedi Order simply didn't sit well with the ginger-maned Jedi. For her, temples represented everything false among the Jedi; vanity, delusions of grandeur and idolism. One would become easily detached from reality when traversing halls adorned with statues of warrior monks that reshaped the map of the galaxy through the ages.

Thanewulf, on the other side, was far more practical. For her, the Force was not an ethereal essence waiting to be studied by countless hours of meditation, but a tool that can be used to achieve some real goals. In that regard, the Hapan was a student of the Unifying force, which never sat well with the rest of the Jedi. In their opinion, such a relativist view brought one dangerously to the dark side, where the line separating light from darkness dimmed, leaving behind planes of grey that Tionne so adamantly explored. Offensive mentalism, for once, was a skill that recieved much scorn.

Nonetheless, Thanewulf's knowledge of Soresu was paramount and honed to perfection, with very few combat-oriented Jedi matching her prowess. She proved a formidable opponent even to the likes of Cyril Grayson, a renowned saberist who fought against many Sith, emerging triumphant more often than not. Hence, the invitation to share her expertise on the Way of the Mynock came as no surprise.

"Morning, Lilin." she greeted upon entering the training chamber, clad in pair of black cargo pants and a dark gray tank top. On her feet, heavy, worn-out space boots.
"Sorry to keep you waiting for so long." the ginger-maned woman apologized - "I'm more of a Jedi than a politician these days."
A light smile crossed Tionne's plump lips as she walked to the lightsaber rack, merely to pick up a training sabers for both of them. The reason - Thanewulf's saber equipped with Solari crystals could still deal serious damage, even when tuned down to lowest power.
"How is the New Jedi Order treating you? Everything you hoped it would be?"

"Good morning," the girl muttered as the woman stepped into the chamber. She turned to her and replied to the apology, "That's alright."

She took a deep breath before marching a little bit closer towards the middle of the room, a little bit afraid of how she would do during the training. She knew her skills with other forms were not too bad, but she had very limited knowledge of the third form, not even speaking of utilising it. Of course, as a talented duelist, she would have to learn all forms to use them in combat.

Even though she preferred Shii-Cho over everything, due to its simplicity and raw style, just like she herself was inside.

"I didn't know what to expect when I joined. When I came back from a long story, I found out all of my friends had joined this faction, so I thought I'd come here as well," Lilin spoke the truth. "So far, I have been enjoying the New Jedi Order. More than the Republic's Jedi Order."

She patted her own lightsaber on her belt, after which she took one of the training sabers from Tionne.

The Hapan Jedi grabbed one of the training lightsabers, but had a hard time finding the kind of hilt that properly fit her small palm. Training lightsabers were made for Guardians who were often superior in size and strength, which meant larger hilts with greater circumference. Lilin would soon find out that getting a proper grip was almost half the work when utilizing Form III.

"Hm, yes. We like to act, instead of sit around gardens, drink tea and meditate." the redhead jested, referencing to her comment regarding the Republic's Jedi Order. Whilst Tionne was not formally a member of the NJO, she was sometimes assigned to teach. Very few other Jedi had working knowledge of Soresu like Thanewulf. A few had compared her skill and prowess in the Way of the Mynock to that of legendary Obi-wan Kenobi. Surely, she was not yet at his level, but was on the right path to achieving it.

"But lets cut to the chase. I have a briefing later this afternoon and I can't leave the Chief of State waiting for me again... You are here to learn Soresu." she stated, then ignited the training saber, assuming the traditional Soresu opening stance. Pale blue light of the blade illuminated Tionne from above.

"Instead of giving you a lecture on how Soresu works, best if I just show you." Grey eyes narrowed a bit, focusing on Lilin's lithe form. Tionne actively redirected all stamina into her arms, reinforcing her stance.
"Attack me, with any form of your personal choice." she commanded, encouraging the Knight with an affirmative nod.

Lilin nodded, after which she ignited her lightsaber while carefully eyeing what Tionne did. She'd seen some people use the opening stance before, but she hadn't never understood which form's it was. Now she was pretty sure that was Soresu's.

She herself, after the Knight's command to attack using any form she wanted to, took the Shii-Cho opening stance. Mainly because she was the most experienced in that one, even though Ataru was her favourite. She would go with the safer option this time, though, utilising the Live Combat Form.

She would run closer to the woman and swipe her training saber from her own right foot diagonally towards the woman's upper body's left side. She had no idea how attacks were parried in Form III, so she didn't even try to imagine how Tionne would react to the attack. However she would do that, she would have a counterattack ready.

Not that she was a master duelist or anything.
