The night over Ossus was a vast velvet bowl of indigo and scattered stars, the silence broken only by the whisper of wind moving through the crumbling stone of the temple ruins. Braze was keeling within the hollowed court, fragments of the old Jedi sanctuary rising around him like broken teeth silhouetted against the pale moonlight.

Around him, crystals floated in slow orbit, each shard turning lazily in the air as if suspended on unseen tides. Their facets catching the glow of starlight and fireflies alike, scattering brief sparks of color across the ground, emerald, cerulean, violet, amber...

The young half echani extended his hand, the Force steady in his veins, and drew one crystal closer. His eyes were closed as he pressed his palm to the humming shard. Psychometry carried him inward: echoes of voices long gone, the thunder of ancient battles, the quiet murmur of meditations spoken centuries before. Each fragment of stone was a memory and windowin to the vessel of light and grief, and of triumph and sacrifice.

The air thickened around him as he shifted from one to the next. A pale Pontite, resonant with calm; a jagged Bondar, sharp with sparks of conflict; a shard of fractured violet crystal, its voice like distant thunder. He let the visions come, let the weight of history pour through him, binding himself to the rhythm of each kyber's song.
