Sindar Malik
Character
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Sindar is a large and broad man even for a Cathar, standing tall and strong. He has green eyes which always seemed forlorn and pensive. Sindar keeps his hair short and braided, with bone-colored beads tied into his braids. His fur has intricate patterns of spots and stripes, combining several shades of brown and tan, and grows out fairly long around his face, forcing him to trim it into a "beard" of sorts. There is a particularly nasty scar down the middle of his chest from a stab wound he got while fighting Sith troopers on Echnos.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Once a valorous and fervent soldier for the Galactic Alliance, Sindar has become jaded and cold after being captured by the Sith. He believes that his life is no longer worth living, but he is forced to fight on, in the hopes of one day becoming free again. Initially he hoped to see his home planet again, but now he is fueled by anger and resentment. Not just to the Sith for his capture, but to the GA for leaving him and his squad to die. Now he believes that his former masters are corrupt and underserving of their reach and power.
STRENGTHS
Special Forces Training: Being a former GADF commando, Sindar is an elite level combatant who can handle himself in most tactical situations.
Force Sensitive: Sindar has a latent sensitivity in the force, allowing him a certain "Sixth Sense" in dire situations.
WEAKNESSES
Paranoid: Being a victim of torture and a veteran of many harsh battles, Sindar is a very paranoid and uneasy man, thinking the worst is always right around the corner
Burning Anger: The unresolved feelings toward the GA and its politicians has caused Sindar to become reckless and consumed by hatred, making him easily manipulable by the Sith
HISTORY
Sindar was born on Cathar, but raised on the planet of Echnos in the inner rim. It's large domed city became a replacement for the natural jungles of his birthworld. At age 18 he joined the GADF as a way to make his parents proud, both being career military in the GA's armed forces. He rose through the ranks quickly by showing great prowess in leadership and hand-to-hand combat. He was given command of a small raider squad of GADF commandos and trained in fighting force users such as the Sith.
His career was mostly standard, until the battle of Echnos, the strange world Sindar had once called home. He personally volunteered his men to go behind Sith lines to assault a logistics base for the Sith Legions. Unfortunately, they were found out before they could complete their mission, and they were overwhelmed and captured. From there, he was tortured and forced to watch his squadmates succumb to the rigors of Sith captivity. By the end of his incarceration he was broken, and willing to join one of the Sith's penal squads to gain his freedom again.
