SPECIAL FEATURES
DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sonic fist: The big sell of this weapon, and what makes it better than your average crushgaunt is what the R&D called the sonic fist. The sonic fist has two options of fire. First there is the cone setting. The user extends their palm and a cone of sonic energy is sent outward, more than strong enough to knock your average person off their feet and send them flying backwards. Its radius is 2 meters, and covers 110 degrees. The user can do this 3 times before having to change out the power packs of the Sonic fist. The other option uses all the energy up at once and emits a 360 sonic blast that goes outward for 1 meter, it is even stronger than the sonic cone, both send people and things that aren't secured (or rediculously heavy) flying backwards. Even if they are strong enough to withstand the force without moving--there is damage dealt for sure from the impact.
  • Crushgaunts: The micro servos in this gauntlet are designed to augment the wearer's grip, just like your cannon Crushgauntlet.
  • Modular mount: the user can insert any one cannon or subbed gauntlet attachment on this thing.
  • Faraday cage: All the important electronic components of this weapon are protected by a Faraday cage.
  • Magnetic grip: For obvious reasons, this only works on metal. However, the user can activate on will electromagnets in the palm and fingers that aids in holding stuff.
Strengths:
  • Crushgaunts: The crushgaunt quality here augments the user's grip, making it a lot stronger than it would be before. Since this isn't made of beskar, the wearer shouldn't expect to catch light sabers (Unless they like the Patchy the Pirate look), but still they would easily be able to break bones with the augmented strength of these gauntlets.
  • Modular weapon mount: The user can fit one gauntlet style attachment on this thing, if they want that to be a weapon or a grapple hook, they are more than welcome to.
Weaknesses :
  • Lowers flexibility: Due to the design of this weaponized gauntlet, the user will find bending their wrist pretty much impossible. The wrist moves a few degrees sure, however its still pretty impeded.
  • Weight: These are pretty heavy for gloves, so if you add in anything else (like whatever is added into the modular weapon mount) that is a lot of weight for someone to have on their hand.
  • Sonic: The sound blast is indiscriminate, if the user does not have proper ear protection they can experience some serious hearing damage--and both the cone and 360 setting can affect allies in the line of fire, so use with caution (unless you wanna get new allies, then go right ahead and be reckless).
  • Reloading: Reloading the Sonic fist is possible, but it takes about 90 seconds and that's best case scenario. That's 30 seconds to power down the gauntlet (you have to in order to change the sonic fist's battery), open the battery cover, take the battery out, put in a new one, securely close it, and power the gauntlet up again. That's 90 seconds focusing on taking that stuff out and working with it instead of shooting at something. The time is non-negotiable unless you wanna go faster. The Force cannot and will not speed this time up. Nothing will. Its really not recommended reloading this in the middle of a firefight or what have you--unless you like getting shot, then go right ahead.
DESCRIPTION
Gauntlets. There's a lot of them out there that have a lot of cool stuff. Most have two mounts and some crush gaunts and all kinds of other cool stuff. Well, RMIA decided to work their way into this market and take things to the second level.

The sonic fist takes sonic weaponry to a new level. What started out as an attempt by the R&D (and the writer) to make a sonic blade, ended up with a mechanism that fits in the palm of the user and emits short range sonic blasts. The sonic fist works off of sonic booms--either in the cone setting or the 360 setting. Either way, we recommend ear protection (sold separately). The sonic boom that is emitted will easily knock someone back on their butt and/or do some serious bruising. Its not strong enough to break the skin, but it certainly is strong enough to break bones, cause internal bleeding, serious pain, bruising, hemorrhaging, contusions, and so on. This can happen three times before a reload is required, or once with extra power and lowered range in a 360 radius.

The use of the sonic fist is really only limited to the user's imagination. Use it to knock your enemy back in a duel, damage a door for rapid entry, damaging vehicles to keep your foes from escaping, as a back up in tight situations, to buy yourself room in a massive fight... really its just a matter of thinking, "what can I use a sonic boom to realistically do"?

Now the sonic fist is not without its drawbacks. For starters, your wrist mobility is pretty much lost. Also, its pretty heavy for gauntlets, 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs) is a lot of weight to lug around on your hands, so it could and will wear your arms out. Also, you only get three 3 cone shots OR 1 360 shot before you have to reload it, which takes full concentration for 90 seconds.
