DESCRIPTION
The Seswenna Mining Corporation is a medium sized contractor for mining operations, mineral and chemical refining and institutional research for chemical and mineral applications and exploitation that primarily operates within the Seswenna Sector. Their core business is to exploit and mine various minerals, metals and even gasses from viable locations throughout the Sector and to prospect planets for mining both within the Sector along with neighboring Sectors within the Greater Seswenna Region. They do not directly trade or enact in commercial operations as they are mainly a contractor to [REDACTED], which through the Seswenna Mining Corporation manages to gain its considerable resources in terms of metals and minerals necessary for the overall production of their goods.

However, despite not being a commercial company, the Seswenna Mining Corporation does often engage in trade agreements, prospections and sample drilling with regional governments such as the Rimward Trade League and the Eriadu Authority on its own through it's own public relations representative which serves as an "ambassador" to other corporations and governments, the SMC interacts with. The main focus within their mining operations is based on three key minerals: Doonium, Lommite and Carbonite, though they also are capable of extracting such things as Tibanna gass, electrum and other rarer or less known minerals. Their research is based mainly on their prospects, but can also include chemical research to the formation of alloys in the employ of their parent company.

RATIONALE
Formerly known as United Seswenna Mining, a subsidiary of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, the Seswenna Mining Corporation was formed as a result of a hostile takeover orchestrated by a cabal of Businessmen active within the Seswenna Sector, secretly backed by the Final Dawn, a Neo-Imperial Junta based in the Unknown Regions with active interests in the area. With the assistance of Final Dawn operatives, previous board members were taken out of the picture either vanishing overnight or outright resigning in favor of members of the cabal, allowing for a quick and silent takeover of the Board of Directors

After the silent takeover, the USM was rebranded into the Seswenna Mining Corporation and has since begun to rapidly expand across the Seswenna Sector, with the ever ambitious members of it's Board of Directors determined to make up for years of neglect from it's former parent company and establish the SMC as a premier mining corporation in the Outer Rim while also increasing their profits along the way as well as supplying their secret sponsors with the many precious materials they have extracted across the Seswenna Sector as a token of gratitude for their earlier support in the hostile takeover.
