The Selunite Guard

As reserves have slowly begun to replenish in the past decade and new threats have begun to emerge, the establishment of a new Interstellar Government has required the establishment of a military force to protect that Government. Seeking to counter the threats and safeguard the Moon of Selun; securing its interest in its own system and neighboring regions. Acting as the shield not only for the Selunite Alliance; but for potential allied states as well.
The Selunite Guard is a highly trained and well-organized Military Organization, overseen by a centralized command, and led by the Warden of Selun; three Subwardens or Senior Commanders are further delegated to maintain the three primary Over Wards of the Alliance; The North, The Home Guard, and The South.

ACTIVITIES
The Selunite Guard is responsible for investigating foreign threats to the Alliance and protecting the Alliance against them. Their duties include guarding the territory of the Selunite Alliance, important locations, and above all else, the citizens. Selunite Guard patrols also keep watch on Hyperspace Routes leading to and from Alliance Space; maintaining garrisoned Stations and Fortifications along these routes.
TACTICS
The Military of the Selunite Alliance consists of a well-trained and well-equipped core force supported by additional special command groups. A defensive force, the Guard has adopted the discipline of the Chiss Ascendancy; extending themselves from a defensive posture only, whilst not seeking preemptive or violent strikes against an enemy.
The Selunite Guard has adopted small-unit tactics that can actively and independently operate from a Central Command; preferring to maneuver in these smaller groups with the largest unit size being the Regiment.
BASE OF OPERATIONS
The Selunite Guard operates out of its primary base of operations, Castle Moonstone, located on the Moon of Selun.
Additional Garrisons, Star Docks, and Fortresses are operated and maintained throughout Alliance Territory; with a focus on protecting Citizens over Possessions. Other locations are kept hidden to prevent their preemptive targeting from enemy saboteurs or strikes as a means to prevent the true number of the Selunite Guard from being known.
COMMAND STRUCTURE
TORSIN: The highest-ranking Officers of the Guard, they oversee Regiments or are put in command of the Defensive Fleets deployed by the Alliance. A Torsin may also be deployed to command an Honor Guard or Bodyguard Unit for Diplomats and Illustrious Visitors to the Alliance.
VALABRAR: Officers of merit that have proven themselves; commanding Battalions or small elements of a Fleet deployed by the Alliance. A Valabrar is often deployed to command Protective Escorts for important individuals within the Alliance.
AUMARR: Many seek to attain this rank and hold the position until their days of retirement, finding prestige and honor in the title. These Officers command Company sized elements we deployed planetside, or for many, they command a single vessel within a larger Fleet Element.
SHIELDLAR: The middle ground of command; some see it as a final stop and do not advance further, whilst others view it as a natural stepping stone up the chain. A Shieldlar is given command of a Platoon of Guardsmen / Guardswomen, or, is provided the command of a Corvette or Gunship.
VIGILANT: Second-in-Command; these Officers command squad-sized elements of forces, with the most senior of these Officers acting as Second-in-Command of a Platoon. These Officers are also often found in command of Starfighter Squadrons.
GUARDSMAN / GUARDSWOMAN: Your run-of-the-mill soldier doing their part to keep the Selunite Alliance and its Citizens safe from the horrors of the Galaxy.
SPECIAL COMMAND POSITIONS
SENESCHAL OF THE ALLIANCE: A prestigious position, though one with little power, the Seneschal acts as a glorified assistant to the Warden of Selun and assists in the daily operations and dissemination of commands from the Warden. This position is rotated through the Torsins every two years to prevent corruption or power-grabbing by any one individual.
DEFENDER OF THE HARBOR: This title is the closest that the Selunite Alliance has to an Admiral of the Fleet, though it is also the most laboriously mundane and numbing of the commands. The Defender of the Harbor is a special title that is bestowed upon an individual that is given command of the Selunite Home Guard; a combined arms force of Naval and Ground elements that protect the Core of the Alliance Systems and is not deployed beyond the Capital System or its neighboring Regions.
MASTER OF THE NORTH: Those few that have held this title are provided the means to establish and maintain the military forces of the Selunite Alliance along the Northern Border of its Territory; guarding against encroaching influence from the Ashlan Crusade and Empire. Their command is one of pure defense to ensure that the Selunite Alliance may maintain its peaceful expansion and continuity of existence.
MASTER OF THE SOUTH: Holding a similar rank and position as above, the Officer that holds this title is charged with the establishment and maintaining of military forces of the Selunite Alliance along the Southern Boarder of its Territory; guarding against encroaching influence from the Hutts as well as the unknown elements of Wild Space. This command is one of pure defense to ensure that the Selunite Alliance may maintain its peaceful expansion and continuity of existence.
THE GUARD
The Selunite Guard was founded to provide for the defense of the citizens of the Moon of Selun; with their role expanding in more recent years to include neighboring Planetary Systems and regions of special note. Their primary role is to curb the expansion and growing influence of the Empire, the Ashlan Crusade, and the Hutts; which have only grown in power since the downfall of the Bryn'adul. The Guard itself is subdivided into three formations, the Selunite Navy, the Planetary Guard, and the Special Companies, with each formation providing complementary capabilities to the strengths and weaknesses of the others.

As threats continue to rise, The Guard has begun a new campaign centered on shoring up defensive lines and providing protective measures to neighboring systems whose own defensive capabilities had been ravaged from years of conflict prior. This has seen the widespread deployment of the unique Selunite Vessels into neighboring Systems; with exploratory expeditions venturing further abroad.

SELUNITE NAVY: Itself subdivided into two branches; the Navy and Starfighter Corps, the Selunite Navy is the primary defensive fleet that is deployed by the Alliance to maintain its borders, curb piracy and smuggling, and assist in protecting the Hyperspace Lanes throughout the Territory.
PLANETARY GUARD: The primary ground element of the Selunite Guard; it consists of infantry, mechanized elements, droids, and aerial support craft. Selunite Guard units are often deployed to forward positions along territorial borders or to protect locations or interests or assist neighboring systems as they are brought into the Alliance proper.
SPECIAL COMPANIES: Officially these organizations do not exist and are often treated as special forces or plausible deniability generators. Special Companies can be anything from PMCS and Mercenaries to Specialized Planetary Guards or even Privateers and State-Sanctioned Raiders.
