Selene had a rough start, both of her parents were torn from her grasp. Mystique’s life and personality are steeped in deception. Her character is somewhat disjointed in a ways. She spends so much time impersonating and being nose deep in her work she doesn’t have a solid identity to call her own. This inability to have her own true identity drove her towards the wrong social behavior that includes anger, bitterness, and mistrust. By contrast, her ability to easily place herself in the lives of others influences the low value she gives to certain lives.
Sometimes this value is so low she has no problems with killing. In addition to her anger and bitterness, Selene’s deceptive personality has also motivated her to seek and cling to whatever limited identity she has. However, due to her personality and negative views of humanity, Selene often crosses lines that push away anyone she cares about. In her effort to protect, she often alienates because her hatred and bitterness is so strong. Not having an identity of her own torments her and renders her unable to have the kind of humanity that allows her to trust people.
She continues living in a web of lies and it has gotten to a point where she knows no other way to live. Lying on where she's from and what's she done to get where she is. Selene wanted something to take her mind off of her so called family. They didn't love her like her birth-givers could. So she relied on Spice to give her what the people who owned her. Although to the naked eye she is sarcastic, witty, a little charming, and quick-minded.
+ Hidden in plan sight: Selene can be anyone you want her to be. She can be a weightier at your local diner, labor worker, homeless woman, or even a woman of royalty. Given the proper setting of course. She uses her human appearance to blend into the world around her. That can be used to obtain information of several different types.
+ Espionage: Her adoptive parents taught her well.
+ Shifting Abilities: To form into an extremely dangerous, and was protected by a row of heavy spikes along its back, along with claws that could shred durasteel within one swipe at will in her controllable times. This includes notoriously potent strength and speed with an incredible sensory perception and hyper-developed scene of balance. (in her feline form)
+ Expert Combatant: Because of her ears of imprisonment, she was able to learn several different fighting techniques.
X Addictive Personality Disorder: She has a addictive personality disorder which makes her want spice even more.
X Spice Addiction: Selene is currently battling sever addiction to spice which includes the addiction to effecting her ability to shift and at times is uncontrollable and rather painful.
X Motion Sickness: Whenever the feline finds herself on a ship the ride, no mater how smooth, gives her a terrible sickness until she arrives at her destination. Including vomiting, shifting, shivers, and heat flashes.
Selene was born in the slums of Felacat. Her father was murdered before she really got to know him. He was a labor worker, coming home one afternoon with a fresh kill on his shoulders. It was devastating but, not uncommon. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time. They lived in parts of Felacat that could be compared to the planet Taris. There wasn't much joy in the remains of an home they lived in.
The feline's mother had fallen in love with substance abuse her, Spice. Not to mention the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It's not like she didn't care for her daughter but it was something to take her mind off of their situation. Selene was uneducated, malnourished, and ruined at a young age. Her mother was a poor hunter and could only feed her child what little farm land gave her and small critters that scampered around their home.
Selene's mother came to realization she could no longer keep herself alive and another mouth. At age 10 the young cub was placed up for adoption. First her father and now her mother. Both of her parents were eventually to be ripped from her grasp. After hours of trying to convince her mother that the young child could fend for herself and make it on her own. But her mind was made up, Selene was now an orphan.
Before she actually left her birth mother she was given a moonstone necklace. It was a family heirloom and what better time to give it to her than the last time she'd see her cub. Within a few days she had over 20, give or take a few, interviews. None were interested in the child. She was too out strung, problematic, and hard to cooperate with. Until one couple was able to put enough fear and respect back into her. After all she did become quite a little monster after all she went though.
The replacement for a father was a part time lawyer, part time spy. Yes that is quite a stretch but he worked for a large ghost company that constructed "condominiums" on different planets. He worked for them but keep the job as a lawyer as a fall back plan and it raked in extra credits. You can't go wrong with a little money on the side. While the mother was just a spies wife. He wanted something that would be loyal to them and what better than a child they could raise themselves. The woman was unable to have children and they desired one anyway.
Not to mention Selene would be quite the muscle in the time to come. And so she was, they molded her into exactly what they wanted. She grew into quite the killing machine. Her new parents were more than capable of directing her in those ways. Following in her new father's footsteps she worked right alongside him but leaned towards the murdering part more than just finding out information.
Several years down the road Selene made a small detour to a party. She was still young but that didn't change her thoughts on trying new things. In fact because she was so young she was interested a little too much. Which included trying Spice, loving the feeling it gave her she soon became addicted to it. Once her adoptive parents found out that she was doing it they new how much it would damage her work ethic.
The feline was unable to do without her drug and being under their control she just couldn't keep living this way. So she left, well, escaped more like it. Selene was rather ruthless. One night while her father was out doing work she took out the wife. Instead of holding her hostage instead she murdered her. In fact it was easier than she thought. Since she was a human Selene mauled her with no problem. Fleeing before the man of the house returned. She remains on the lamb from the husband. Never staying in the same place for too long or settling down.
Long dark brown and black locks cascade only a little below her shoulders. Her irises are a noticeable color of light orange mostly due to her specie's genetics. Standing 5'8" is Selene. Despite the Felacation's appearance of thin fur on their skin, Selene's hair recedes beneath her skin until she shifts and then it is back on top.
Behind her is a rather long and eye catching tail that is easily 50 centimeters in length. With the Spice addiction comes rapid weight loss in witch she eats large meals to constipate ending up with bulimia-like ways. For the less dangerous side effects times, insomnia, feverish sleeping, and consistent nightmares.
As for Selene's animal form it weights around 408 pounds compared to her human form is 125 (due to weight loss). Her length from nose to bottom, tail not included, she is exactly 16 feet and 6 inches long. As for her height she can reach roughly 6 feet from paw to shoulders.
