SPECIAL FEATURES
- Highly stabilized form of Detonite
- Can only be detonated through phased static electric pulse
- Rapid-frequency pulses or low-frequency pulses can destabilize as a high-explosive blast, or as a localized blast.
- (+) Stabilized: selectively stabilized detonite builds on detonite's already exceptionally stability by being chemically catalyzed as essentially inert; no amount of raw energy, electricity, kinetic force, or radiation will make it explode.
- (+) Selectively Activated: a phased static pulse, either low-frequency or high-frequency, is necessary to destabilize the molecular structure of selectively stabilized detonite to the point it will explode; high-frequency pulses create a rapid destabilization and a high-explosive effect, while low-frequency creates a localized focused charge effect.
- (-) Critical Instability: whereas a typical explosive can detonate instantly, it can take several seconds for stabilized detonite to reach a point of critical instability.
- (-) Selection Locked: once stabilized detonite becomes destabilized, it cannot be re-stabilized or disarmed. While ignition can be delayed momentarily, ultimately the explosive will detonate. Likewise, once an ignition mode (blast, or focused charge) has been selective, a different mode cannot be selected.

DESCRIPTION
The Tetron Centrex — Selectively Stabilized Detonite (SSD-Patterned Explosive) is a next-generation ordinance engineered for surgical flexibility and application. Chemically catalyzed into an exceptionally inert matrix, this form of detonite will not react to brute force, thermal shock, ionizing radiation, or stray energy—making it uniquely safe to transport, emplace, and store. Detonation is impossible by accident: SSD requires a precisely timed phased static electric pulse to incite molecular instability. Tetron originally developed SSD to provide demolition teams and soldiers with a portable charge that could be carried through hostile environments and only triggered under strictly controlled conditions, minimizing collateral damage when at all possible.
Operationally the SSD offers two distinct ignition profiles tied to pulse characteristics. A rapid-frequency phased pulse forces a near-instant molecular collapse across the charge, producing a conventional high-explosive blast suited to clearing infantry, blasting apart vehicles, or neutralizing armored emplacements. A low-frequency phased pulse instead propagates destabilization slowly and locally, producing a concentrated focused charge ideal for precision and armor penetration—breaching hulls, opening sealed access hatches, or penetrating heavy armor that a high-explosive blast cannot.
