Description: The Sketto Canyon Bend marks the start of a long straight line, the longest on the course, which also plays host to the finish line and the main seating. Seating alongside the podracing track was mostly concentrated alongside the finish line and the Sketto Canyon Bend, with sparse seating in the tunnels' sidelines, for a standard 100,000 seats. The podracing course, 33 kilometers long, now plays host to a silver-level race called the Malastare 100. The course featured several tight turns, crossing a methane lake, as well as several underground tunnels. Near the Sketto Canyon bend, the race is terraced, meaning that some unsuspecting racers can fall in the lower level, which is more tortuous than the upper level.
History: Once designed by Sebulba by 31 BBY, it was called Sebulba's Legacy until it was abandoned during the Gulag Plague era. It played host to podraces, mostly legal but it operated illegally from 19 BBY to 4 ABY, by which point podracing was legal again. At the time it was considered one of the go-to races for those who aspired to amount to something in the Galactic Podracing Circuit; by 450 ABY it became abandoned when Malastare was closed off to the rest of the galaxy as a result of the Gulag plague. When the Galactic Alliance recaptured Malastare, the circuit was re-activated and Ugohr Poof had his own men effect repairs on the track before leaving for Dulvoyinn and, from there, Coruscant.
Intent: To provide a post-Gulag life to a once-glorious, canon podracing track
