ADVANCED SYSTEMS

3K40 Targeting System: Used generally on military bases, the software allowed multiple weapons to convert onto various targets or concentrate fire on a single target. This is to help supplement the 840.z Holo-Targeting Suite when ordered to converge all weapons on one enemy point. (x)
840.z Holo-Targeting Suite: In conjunction with the targeting computer, the 840.z Holo-Targeting Suite allowed improved accuracy for gunners on the Screamers. This was a necessary upgrade as the targeting computer itself was strained from the large amount of weapons systems, the 840.z allowing it to balance out the strain.(x)
Control Jets: How it was possible to turn the Screamers around this quickly. A great amount of control jets are used in each section of the ships to turn them in the proper direction and give the proper amount of acceleration when needed. It can literally go sideways if it so wishes but it be very slow. (x)
Hyperdrive Signal Interceptor: The Hyperdrive Signal Interceptor detects flucations in the local area though not of its destination nor the type of ship. This allows those at stations to be more prepared for an ambush or assault. (x)



STRENGTHS
  • Can't Touch This: The Screamer is extremely fast and manuverable. If you just an average corvette, you may be able to match it but cruisers and higher may have trouble keeping up with the cruiser with some being frigates. Even the fast hyperdrive was designed for quick escapes, good luck trying to catch it unless you can go further than speed one.
  • Fast Assault: The Screamer was designed for fast destruction of enemy forces as well as station attacks. If it exists, it can most likely duke it out with their foe with a fighting chance.
WEAKNESSES
  • Weak Engine Support Struts on Sides: Each side has struts that holds up the massive engines and are weak points. Destroying them slows down the Screamer by a good amount along with numerous weapon systems onboard that section.
  • Weak Deflector Shields: Due to the amount of power required to hold up against It must rely on its speed and maneuverability to make up for its deflector shield weaknesses.
  • Very Obvious Cockpit Weakspot: The bulged head up front is the cockpit area which when hit, can shut off the main bridge and activate the emergency bridge down below. Destroy the head, the Screamer becomes crippled.
  • Virtually No Hanger Support: Save for two squadron of fighters, it is very exposed to fighter attack as well as boarding actions. The Screamer relies heavily on its point defense cannons as well as beam cannons to fend off enemy fighters.
DESCRIPTION
Despite all the accomplishments of Haon Hafey, one on his list he never really attempted was fast and furious type of fighting ship. Well he decided with the extreme amount of credits at his disposal as of late, that was to be rectified. Designing the blueprint for the Screamer, he had it noted to be as fast as possible, to maneuver as if it was a corvette itself, he wanted it to be the best of its kind and an end all to battle cruiser combats. The issue however was that much was to be sacrificed if one was to have the upper hand in combat. Thus the Screamer became a fast assault battle cruiser.

It utilized designs of old. Unlike those previous, it would use the engines to its fullest extent and with maneuvered placements as well as many control jets. When it could only do controlled bursts, it would have it in constant use. With the Genoms and the LF series installed, the Control Jets were next on the list of many things that were to be installed. The Control Jets numbered into the thousands, having integrated areas to make sure it will all go right. Another important feature was that the ship had well over twelve reactor rooms near the rear of the ship to just keep up with the massive power drain. Learning from past mistakes, these weakpoints were well covered, not allowing itself to be disabled unless over a third of all power generators were taken out.

However the amount of weaponry reared its ugly head as it became extremely inaccurate during tests. Pulling out almost the entire hanger bay, it installed high grade 3K40 Targetting Systems as well as a 840.z Holo-Targeting Suite that was central for all those involved. One of the last final touches was a hyperdrive signal interceptor which was to make it aware of incoming ambushes on its location. Hearing all the old stories on them in the Dark Times, he refused to have it happen to the captains of these ships. Even the installation of warhead launchers made it extremely deadly for one or two salvos, effectively allowing it to destroy frigates with ease unless they were heavily defended.

With three in production, it was suddenly halted before it could go into limited style production as numerous flaws were presented to them. Engine struts were very weak, the deflectors could not be at full power at the bridges were not designed properly, effectively clustering them all into one area. It was almost a disaster as there was calls from the main board for their disastrous decisions on the project. Not accepting full losses however, Haon Hafey ordered for more engines to be put on and let the shields be at limited power, allowing the speed of the ship to be the ally in combat. It did mitigate the problem but finding a buyer was highly difficult and with hope from calls to The Alliance, the three would be shipped out in post haste, allowing himself not to be hundreds of millions in the hole.
