Public Scenes from a mobile Kattadan Restaurant

And a touch of the blues
The Hawksbill, blockade runner turned mobile home and diplomatic vessel for the Waybinder Vodet had an additional purpose. It delivered blankets. Everyone deserved one. Especially refugees. But on top of that it had a very social use.

Jedi Master Vodet and one of his Mon Calamari charges, a high level diplomatic based Padawan were both fairly decent cooks. And as a way to get to know the various temples within the Enclave network, Vodet sought to have a meal around the galaxy.

The ships main galley did have a walk up window, and Vodet designed the galley into a restaurant of sorts. One of those fusion deals, raw fish in rice, named in some worlds 'sushi', and one of his favorite non seafood foods, pizza. The decor had sashes and holos taken of other enclaves and their vistas.

The first real visit? Naboo.

It all depends upon your appetite

On Naboo for a small moment, Persephone walked down the street near the spaceport. Ignoring most of what was around her, a shiny windcatcher caught her eye near the spaceport. Head turned, taking in the sight. A food ship parked right along the street. Various images and banners being flown outside of it. There were two windows - an 'order here' and a 'pick up' here one - along with some random stools.

Eyebrow perked. This wasn't a sight one saw on Naboo. It had a weird underworld vibe, not something that was often seen in the carefully curated streets of Naboo. Persephone saw Naboo all about image and this wasn't in that image. Having stopped, her pink bodyguard droid had picked up on her line of sight.

[ Miss Persephone, I believe that food vessel belongs to a cult. ]

"A cult? How do you know?"

[ The banners. One image I recongize as a Jedi enclave on Kattada - at least this is what a cursory HoloNet search informs me. ]

"Ah Jedi. So yes a cult. Makes me wonder what my wayard cousin is up to. No doubt impregnating another Sith girl in the name of galactic peace."

A snort of electronic laughter from Zee.

"Or, someone posing as Jedi to gain sympathy and credits. However I do see someone inside wearing those tragic pieces of burlap they call clothing, so maybe it is the real deal."

[ Should we be supporting a cult, Miss Persephone? ]

"No, but I am curious. Come on Zee. Worst we can do is our fifteen credit purchase contributes to the downfall of civil society."

[ One can argue that has already occurred Miss Persephone. ]

Changing direction, Persephone crossed the street, approaching the food ship. Feet slowed as she approached the 'order here' window, glancing at the menu. As she had seen from across the way, two sad burlap beings were inside, one with a chef's hat.

"Hello...I'll have whatever you recommend."

Fallon had heard another enclave was visiting Naboo so she had to investigate, it seemed that the HRJO was quite open to outsider factions and much less prone to simply homogenising them as she had experienced before when she visited another large order as a child.

The pink haired woman had a date a little later so was wearing something a little unusual underneath her night time cloak, but still wore the sash of her faith as she intended to meet them as a Lightbringer first, hopefully she could make more connections, at the very least she could get some sushi, she missed the seafood from home, and she heard that mon calamari chefs wel dab hands with food.

As she approached she saw another woman chatting to a bodyguard, she didnt seem to fit into the area, she was dressed wonderfully/quite overdressed/bravely nude (delete as appropriate but definitely not in burlap) and Fallon was certain she heard little comments related to that. She smiled and stood next to her ready to order some sushi. She looked at the chefs, she sensed something about them, did they have Jedi working the galley? Interesting. She briefly looked at the menu using the translation function of her biochip to nail the pronunciation of the Mon Cala dish she liked the look of.

She turned to Persephone Dashiell Persephone Dashiell "Hi, I love your outfit, did you get that on Naboo?" she asked warmly.

And a touch of the blues
The Jedi Master was working on cooking up a few different things. He had pizza, and sushi on the menu. It was a weird fusion, but it helped to provide an understanding into him, and showcase the products of Kattada in two different types of menus. Naboo was a prime world to visit and he was sure there would be a lot of comings and goings from the residents of the High Republic. He hoped he’d see some Jedi, but was ready to share stories with those who were not Jeid as well.

“Welcome in.”
The Yinchorri turtle had said as the first human-ish-probably being came in. Whatever he recommended?

“You like fish, or prefer something warm and cheesy? Two different angles, I know. But it always helps. Would hate to provide something cold and from the sea when you want a pie.”
Technically tomato pie.

That was delicious.

“Have a seat.”
He nodded towards the counter.

Seeing the other one, Vodet waved again. Was that a Jedi?

“Welcome in, Ashlan.”
He said, the Force influencing where his mind was going to respond.

The Mon Cala Knight Riki approached the pair and laid down down some plates and utensils. “Welcome to the Hawksbill, Kattadan Restaurant.” She said.

JEDI CULT FOOD STALL

Debating on what she actually wanted, her expression perked up immediately as someone commented on her outfit. Nothing special and she decidedly looked like the teenager she was instead of an explorer or lady. The other was a woman, most likely a Jedi but decidedly not in burlap, who had come to check out the offerings. She had ordered something more native to Mon Cal. Brows furrowed, last time she has tried something outrageous was whitefish patties by her adoptive father's parents. Little baitfish fried into patties. They still had eyes.

"Thank you. I love your patterned tights. Nice to see some color."

It seemed the giant turtle had a point though. Cold and from the sea did not seem appealing.

"I'll take a cheesy tomato concoction. Thank you."

A cult they may be but Persephone had manners. Speaking of manners, she had to answer the woman's question about her outfit. Brow furrowed as she tried to remember. A generic crop top and pants....normally she had a great memory but that was more for her standout pieces and accessories.

"Oh! I'm not sure. Most likely the Core. Before everything happened that is where I did most of my shopping. Chandrilla might be a better choice these days, a little quieter for the moment. Nothing like trying to shop and an intergalactic event occurs."

Kuhbee's footsteps thudded in an easy rhythm along the polished walkways of Theed, the morning sun turning the river's surface to shimmering gold beside him. His Padawan braid bounced lightly with each stride, and the air tasted of clean stone, river mist, and fresh flowers from the palace gardens.

Theed was peaceful, almost too peaceful for a young Wookiee who thrived on movement. So when he finished training early, he took off running through the picturesque city streets, weaving past fountains, stepping over lilypads that had drifted onto the walkway, and nodding politely to bewildered locals.

He took a corner sharply and skidded to a halt so fast he almost left claw marks in the pavement. There, parked neatly beside the river plaza, was a ship. Not a transport. Not a courier vessel.

A food truck spaceship, bright red and covered in hand-painted images of bubbling cheese wheels and smiling vegetables holding hands. Kuhbee's stomach let out a loud, excited growooooowl that made a nearby Gungan turn. The young Wookiee perked up immediately.

Rrraaahh!

Pizza!!! He'd tried it once at the Jedi Temple's common room and had thought about it at least twice a day since. Wookiees loved many things: family, trees, tradition… but good food was a sacred joy.

He trotted toward the food ship, his run forgotten.

"Thanks, they're from MS" she said, straightening her leg for a better look before lifting her head to respond to the older man turtle. She didnt recognise the species so her AI quickly updated her.

She knew what else this man was, the force had a scent to it and even over the scent of the fish, this man was wearing it generously. "Your chef's are brilliant, but but I'd love to hear your thoughts on other matters?" she said, daring him to philosophise with her. She was much younger, she was opinionated, experienced beyond what someone her age should be, but as was often pointed out, she lacked wisdom sometimes.

Her train of thought was interrupted by an excited young wookiee running over at the promise of pizza, she smiled a welcome as he made his large presence known. "I'm Fallon, by the way" she said, waving with her fork as she did so.

"Oi! Where do you think you are going?!"

Aileni froze and tilted his head slightly, he had been lost in his own thoughts. Tired beyond belief since his mind had been struggling with sleep and Aileni was still pushing himself as hard as possible during his training. His eyes looked down to see if he had accidentally stolen anything while he was wandering without consciously knowing about it.

But there was nothing in his hands.

"Where do you think you are going street rat!?" The stall owner called out again with a deep growl.

His attire was looking more ragged as of late due to the fact that Aileni was finding himself growing rapidly and his strength being much stronger than it would appear so he was ripping things without even thinking about it. So, he was looking less like a formal Jedi and more of a street kid but Aileni didn't care all too much about that since he figured it would allow him to stand out less. Clearly that wasn't always going to be the case. The stall owner walked over and began to reach for his bow.

"Who did you steal that off from, huh? Gunna take you down to the police and see what they have to say about this!" The owner declared, believing that no one looking like Aileni would have such a weapon on them.

"Touch the bow and lose your hand." Aileni stated in a dark, cold tone. His green eyes tired and devoid of emotions. Usually, he would have tried to say something else to ease the tension but his mind was not thinking straight.

The stall owner simply laughed derisively at Aileni, still reaching for the energy bow. Aileni moved in swift, strong attacks. Striking at the pressure points in the man's arm to render it useless. "Go back to your stall and leave me be." The owner stared in fear at Aileni before rushing back. Aileni rubbed his eyes and sighed, tiredly, he needed to figure out how to get a proper sleep going. Then he felt his stomach rumbling and checked his pockets. No money and stealing food seemed to be off the table now that he publicly struck at a stall owner.

Aileni moved through the streets, anxious to get some food since his Zorren genes meant that he had to eat plentiful and often. His nose twitched at the scent of something and his body followed the direction of where the food was coming from.

Arriving at the food truck, Aileni get his stomach grumbling even more. The scruffy, tired Padawan stumbling into the restaurant. "Food, is the food here free?" Aileni called out, his need for food was hitting him hard and Aileni wasn't sure he could make it all the way to the temple and find food there before he either passed out from hunger.

As Kuhbee was waiting in line for the wonderful reward of pizza he saw two young girls talking about clothes. One of them waved at him and he waved excitedly back. The next moment another boy came in. He looked downright exhausted and Kuhbee could hear the kids stomach rumbling even from over at the counter.

"Food, is the food here free?"

"Grwiirrr Giii Ahhh"

The droid translator on his belt chirped up, sounding a little concerned for the boy.

(I will pay for us both)

Kuhbee held out a handful of credits with excitement, joyous at the prospect of being able to share something with someone. He motioned excitedly for the boy to pick some food.

And a touch of the blues
The Mon Calamari and the Yinchorri were watching the youths come on in. Vodet thought about it and maybe he should put in some tables in with hologames. Maybe that’d bring in the others so they’d have somewhere to spend their time, not that he was looking to bring them in for any reason aside from them to have a place to go to. And if they were all youths? Maybe it’d keep them out of trouble.

Though the Jedi students among them didn’t seem like they’d be getting into trouble.

“Coming right up!” Vodet said as he busied himself with kneading out the dough. Under the table was a foot pump that helped him spread the tomato sauce, already seasoned and prepped, around the pie.

“And another for you too, young Wook?” The elder Yinchorri looked up with a smile. Before turning to the Mon Cala. Speaking in an aquatic language, people would understand he was asking Riki to assist with the pizza for a moment.

“Well met, Fallon. Name’s Vodet. And I’ve many thoughts on many matters. Whats on your mind, young one?” He assumed young. Most of the No-Shells gained lines as they aged. This one didn’t have many. He made a motion of ‘one second’ as he turned to the newcomer.

“Welcome…” He tried to catch the Shriiwook before the droid did but nodded. “We can take your orders when ready.” Before turning back to Fallon. By this point the Heiress Duchess Young Queen of Fashion's pizza was already in the over.
