SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Troop Carrier
  • Assault Walker
  • Automated
Strengths:
  • [+] Troop Carrier: Capable of fielding a company-sized element of battle droids, the Scarab can easily activate and deploy their infantry in the midst of battle.
  • [+] Assault Walker: Its primary purpose is acting as a main battle walker and providing direct fire support for infantry elements. Heavy weapons, durable armor, and a versatile role.
Weaknesses:
  • [-] Lumbering: It's got a fairly average pace, but the Scarab is a rather large walker and is an easy target for enemy anti-armor emplacements.
  • [-] Fire Arcs: The Scarab does possess a nice complement of weaponry, but its main weapon is axial and the entire walker must turn to bring fire upon the enemy.
  • [-] Underbelly: The underbelly of the walker is lighter than other, mainly due to the disembarking ramp for infantry. Well placed mines or infantry with demolitions equipment can easily drop a Scarab. In this situation, the Scarab must rely upon their infantry elements to support them.
DESCRIPTION

In lieu of any heavy armored products offered by Aegis Systems, they've designed the perfect walker to fill that niche. Introducing the Scarab-class Walker, a spiderlike assault transport capable of containing a company's worth of automated infantry and raining heavy firepower upon its foes with extreme prejudice.

The Scarab is physically imposing. Reminiscent of the age old AT-TE walker, this particular profile sports quadrupedal motion with various cannons on the fore and rear of the walker. Constructed of reinforced duraplast, the armored plating of this walker is quite hardy and can take a massive beating before being brought down under intense fire.

On the interior is an entirely empty space. While there is a small terminal near the fore for manual operation should the need arise, the entirety of the Scarab is hollow. This is to compensate for the massive amount of troops the Scarab can host. All droids are deactivated and placed into their smallest configuration profiles to make the most out of the available space. Durasteel racks can also be extended from the walls to "stack" the droids, so to speak. Beneath the platform is a ramp that extends downwards to facilitate the deployment of the Scarab's onboard infantry.

The main purpose of the Scarab is its capacity to deploy company-sized elements of automated infantry directly into the battle and support them with direct firepower. Controlled by an integrated heuristic droid brain, the walker can operate autonomously in conjunction with allied forces but can be manually overridden and crewed by two operators.

In terms of weaponry, the primary cannon is an axial proton cannon. The drawback for this weapon is its axial status, therefore the entire walker must rotate in order to fire its main weapon. As secondary weapons, it boasts four blaster cannons on its fore and two in the rear. These rapid-firing cannons can adjust their firing arcs to sweep the area of infantry. Atop the Scarab's frame is an anti-aircraft cannon. While not extremely powerful, it can harass or destroy any aircraft buzzing the Scarab in the midst of battle.

Conclusively, the Scarab is the perfect walker to bring onto the field of battle. Deploying troops and providing support is the game, and the Scarab-class Walker is its best player. Get one today!
