Save Me From The Colored Darkness of Pain

Jade walked smoothly off the ship and onto the forest planet's moist ground. Her worn boots made and wet crunching sound as she stepped further away from the ship. Before she could turn and say a word, the pilot took off into space before she could wave. Those darn pilots always did that, they hated her for some stupid reason. With a shrug, Jade continued to go deeper into the forest. Wincing as her headache flared again.

Her force sickness was getting worse. It was a cancer that never truly went away. She could only relieve it for a short time, but it always returned. She swayed on her feet, heart pounding, fighting to stay moving. Jade thought about calling for help, but she remembered a fact.....

She was alone. There was no one to help her, there never were. Jade would often get these "fits" where the light and dark energies would fight rather than settle like they should. This wasn't common in force users, but it was still in existence. The issue was that very few knew what to do with it.

Jade nearly screamed as she fell to her knees. It was as if the energy was stabbing her heart and squeezing her body. She tried to keep going, but it was useless..... She fell to the ground.

Her force sight swirled around her, creating a tunnel vision effect. Jade curled into a fetal position, trying to alleviate the pain. However it only sent her into further pain and into complete blindness. Her force sight stopped being useful as the colors swirled into black.

None of her other senses made sense either. It was too much... just too... much. Jade sent a SOS in the force, but doubted anyone would come.

It was rare anyone did. Even rarer that someone stuck by her side.

Not much was known about this planet so he knew that it'd be quite difficult to find any significant answer right away so scouting the sorroundings would become his primary task. Unlike many off-worlders arriving, the young Jedi was the captain of the legendary Ebon Hawk, a millennia-old ship that belonged to Darth Revan thousands of years ago during the Old Republic era. The spaceport offered a private spot to land the freighter and he made usage of that and once outside, the rocky path lead to a thick forest full of local wild life and dangers to encounter.

Apparently, going through the forest was the only path that lead directly to the capital city and unluckily it contained many dangers that the general population would continue to suffer. Once he set foot outside the freighter and caught some fresh air that filtered through the half-mask he used, a tremor in the Force could be felt by the young warrior. A call for help and desperation coming from the forest, a feral scream that felt like a stab to the heart.

What could that be, he wondered. Only one way to find out and that was going through the deep forest to seek the source of that extreme suffering. Someone needed help and he wasn't going to leave that person behind.

Never did and never will.

The pain and colors swirled and swirled. Sometimes fading to black before flaring again.

The conflicting energies have to come out, have to leave her so she may recover. Yet... Jade needed another to preform the act. She couldn't do it to herself, she couldn't do it alone. However, there was no one around, not one soul would help. And very few dared to help at all.

Jade didn't need a reminder that she was alone... or so she thought.

Footsteps crunched in the dirt, making Jade attempt to block the inner attack she was going through. She wanted to be ready.... ready for a fight that may happen. Unfortunately, it was not to be.

She screamed as the energies clashed, practically stabbing her whole body. Once again she was one the ground in the mental hurricane. She wrapped her body into a tight fetal position, muscles and joints tensing and locking.

Jade could only pray that whomever was coming wouldn't kill her or take advantage of her.

She wouldn't be able to defend herself.

The Forest
In the middle of the forest, a woman laid on the dirty ground covered in mud on a fetal position. She seemed to be in excruciating pain and the feral screams let out were eery as if a thousand needles touched her body over and over until there wasn't anything left to feel inside and out. He stood there and watched carefully to make sure this wasn't a trap to caught any unsuspecting off-worlder and steal their belongings but the Force told him otherwise, she wasn't a threat but was in imminent danger should he not intervene right on time for her to recover.

Ar'ekk slowly approached Jade that continued to be on the floor and touched her shoulder gently as he kneeled, trying to give her comfort and relief through whatever she was experience in that moment. The lack of ideas simply made the young warrior stay by her side and hold on tight to her until everything passed, no words uttered by the man but she continued to suffer in deep pain. Hopefully, everything would be alright within minutes or seconds.

He was there when people needed him the most, just like in Malachor V during the war.

A hand... A touch broke through the hurricane. Trembling, she tried to focus her force sight but was only met with more pain.

Jade felt the person's energy, much more calmer than hers. Instinctively, she gripped it, allowing it to calm the battle inside her.

"What... Do you... Want?" She gasped out in a weak, whimpering tone. "I've got nothing....... If you...... Wish....to.... Kill me...... Do it....now......"

She could barely remember where she was or how she got here. It felt as if she had been there forever.

She didn't was the person to leave her alone.... She wa ted company..... Even if said company might kill her.

As he placed his cybernetic hand on the woman's shoulder to give her some relief and tranquility, Ar'ekk replied back,

"Don't fear. I am here to help you but I need you to calm down first. It's okay."

The weather above them turned from sunny to rainy in a matter of seconds and the raindrops poured down on the duo heavily, an eery silence overtook the rest of the forest. Not a single animal or local wild animal could be heard in the background, only the Jedi and the lady laying on the ground in obvious pain. His ship was nearby and he could take her to shelter for the time being, should she need it.

"I will pick you up and take you somewhere safe. I'm a Jedi, don't worry about me." He said in a soft tone.

He grabbed the woman laying on the dirty and muddy ground by her back and legs, lifting and carrying her towards the Ebon Hawk. Luckily, the ship's ramp was still open so their way inside was quite easy. Ar'ekk placed Jade in one of the bedrooms within the crew quarters and sat in a chair next to her bed, making sure she was still awake and didn't pass out from the pain.

"Are you still with me?"

Maybe it was all fuzzy for her.

She was aware of the person, a ma!e from the sounds, saying something. While she wasn't sure what he said, she was aware of the peace and tranquility that seeped from him. She senses, save for force sight cleared briefly for one phrase:

"Don't fear. I am here to help you but I need you to calm down first. It's okay."

Before fading again into the paralyzing pain. Jade felt herself floating, shifting slightly, which gained a stab of pain from her neck, back, and heart. She cried out in a horse, weak voice, gripping onto the person and their force aura. Jade drifted once more as the pain of the conflicting force energies became too much..

Someone or something was shaking her shoulder, urging her to awake once more. A pained whimper escaped her as she was pulled into the pain once more. The voice again, the same person?! Why was he here, helping her?! She was just the rough, tough, rouge force user that everyone forgot. Unless...

He actually cared....... Jade would have laughed if she didn't need help right now. If her mind wasn't so clouded.

"Force.... Energies.... Conflicting, not..... Settling...." She coughed harshly. It started horse and strong, but soon faded to a gasping wrath. "Help.... Please....."

With that, she had given herself to a complete stranger, out of desperation.

Out of loneliness.

The ship's interior was way too cold unlike the weather outside although the quarters were tempered thanks to the crew's personal preference, a thing in favor of Jade. However, she was still undergoing through excruciating pain and the weak words uttered by her made it difficult to understand this strange condition of hers. Some sort of Force sickness affected the lady apparently but Ar'ekk remained to be confused and unaware of what to do but to support this woman through whatever she was going through, a mental hurricane.

"Tell me what I can do?" He said in a rushed tone, desperate for answers.

Then it clicked for him. The Force was strong and if they both found serenity and peace it could mean a way to put an end to her suffering, in the good way of saying that. His eyes closed and as he attuned himself with the Force,, the young Jedi tried his best to get in touch with Jade's mind and see beyond to find out what's truly affecting her and hopefully get rid of such pain.

[member="Jade The Rogue"]

As he searched her mind, he would be treated to an alarming sight.

Light force energy and dark force energy clashed and collided against each other. Both looking like come sort of wild beast. They fought for dominating each other and taking over Jade's body.

Jade was standing in the middle of the turmoil, trying to control them, but they wouldn't listen. The fighting energies wilted around her so fast, they turned into a tornado, Jade being trapped inside.

Jade was holding on to a tiny piece of her mind, the piece that wasn't cracked. The Jedi, in observation would see that her mind was broken and shattered in many places.

Jade could still sense the intruder. "Drain..... Need...... Energy.....drained...." She gasped, barely hanging on.

The piece of her mind she held on to was starting to crack; Jade was attempting to place life energy into it to fix it.

Her mind was in complete chaos, shattered mirrors breaking down and she was in the middle of the hurricane's eye. A fearful sight, full of darkness and also the light trying to shine, fighting energies trying to take over the other unsuccessfuly. The young Jedi's mind wasn't predominantly light as the dark also invaded his thoughts although even less now to some extent. Drain energy. What did she mean by that? Is it possible that focusing a little more, Ar'ekk could place Jade into a safe place within her thoughts through the Force.

The deep trance he encountered himself would allow something of some sorts occur thanks to his knowledge of the Force and its many forms that seemed to manifest on oneself's head. In a hopeful attempt of leading the girl towards a non-broken part of her mind, the Jedi would try his best to attune himself with the conflicting energies and shun them away for a considerable amount of time.

It was his only hope in that instant.

[member="Jade The Rogue"]

His plan would succeed and bring Jade to the one place her mind was not broken in pieces. It was where she stored her knowledge. It looked like a vast library, complete with comfortable looking chairs and tables.

Jade panted and shuddered as she sank into an armchair. "Thank you, Jedi..... Very few knew what to do. Sadly, this is only temporary. It won't be too long till third battle brings them here. " she took a deep breath. "This is where my memories and knowledge are stored. Everything I have learned and experienced first hand is here. If this gets shattered, I will never be able to completely heal, if I do."

Jade seemed to look deep at him, grey eyes flashing with a strange tint, that seemed almost insanity. "There is too much light force energy and dark force energy in me. Both are fighting for control when they should be getting along as they naturally do. In order for me to even survive, I must have both in me. Years ago, due to an accident that left me blind, amongst other issues, I tied my life force to the force itself. If I sever the connection, I will be very weak.

The conflicting energies must be drained away from my body until they are at balance with each other. I never got your name Jedi, but sad to say, I have no choice, but to trust you. "

She laughed, a weak rasping sound. " We always tell children not to trust a stranger, but here we are..... Ironic...." Her laugh became a cough of the same manner.

Relief invaded both once the woman stopped going through that excruciating pain that was affecting her earlier, a scary thing to witness by anyone since you don't know what to do. The way Ar'ekk invaded her mind through the Force and somehow managed to bring her back to "reality" was nothing but a mere attempt of little knowledge he had about such things.

It wouldn't last too long but hopefully she could stay sane for a few hours more. Her life story was interesting and full of vivid details despite being blind, something that probably didn't seem to faze her so far. What was true is that they both lost many things during a common situation such as a battle.

"No need to thank me. I could sense the Force drawing me deeper into the forest and that's where I saw you."

He said back before continuing,

"I'm Ar'ekk. You're lucky that I managed to find you, if it was someone else they would've escaped when they had the chance."

It was a sad thing to say yet true.

"Feel free to stay aboard the Ebon Hawk as much as you need. You're in the crew's quarters right now."

[member="Jade The Rogue"]

Her senses soon told her of the area she was actually in, a ship.

"I'm Jade, and luck doesn't exist. You simply have a good heart. I was dumped here with the intention of finding a group of neutral force users, but guess that was a lie.

I wander the galaxy, looking for a cure to my cancer
While I see my purse getting hammered
On the street, never to see
Never to lie in restful sleep. "

She sung the little tune. It was something she came up with some years back. "Again, Jedi, I thank you. What do I owe your good graces? I may have to I dulge them a bit longer, just to find someone or some group willing to take me in. Perhaps the Silver Jedi."

He acknowledged her words with a simple nod. She possibly wanted to get her bearings together before he could say something but apparently that wasn't an issue.

"You are in a forest."

Ar'ekk took a brief moment to ponder,

"Deneba is what I call home now. The Jedi Order would be honored to have you, hopefully find a cure for whatever is afflicting you."

The next words that came out of his mouth sounded a little bitersweet and rough, as if he was angry about something yet you couldn't really tell beyond his reaction. Years of held back rage and emotions.

"The Silver Jedi? I wouldn't bother. Once you've done enough things for them, they'll leave you to rot. You cannot see the effects on me of the poor decisions they have made in war time."

He was right to some extent. The Silver Jedi didn't retribute him for the time on the battlefield during Malachor V's struggle against multiple opposing forces. He lost more than he could ever ask for in exchange of saving innocent lives and killing others for their narrow views.

Pathetic.

"As I said, The Jedi Order is the place you want to head to. You don't have to pay me anything yet what I can offer is temporary shelter aboard my ship and means of transportation, should you desire that."

[member="Jade The Rogue"]

" would you be willing to bring me to the Jedi Order? I can ask them about membership."

She felt tired.... So tired...... Jade shook her aching head to stay awake. "Might be about time I found some loyal friends"

(Made a post here: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/116279-a-search-for-friendly-relief-and-rest/ if you wanna jump in. Ya might need to, but if you don't want to deal with Jade, it can be the last time you see her.... Maybe.... She needs friends though....)

"I'd be willing to take you in, my friend. But we've departed from Deneba long ago. You'd be tagging along with me for the time being."

The home planet of The Jedi Order was now in the hands of their closest allies, the Commenor Systems Alliance and Ar'ekk was simply living in Aurum with a person he considered the most important of his life. That, of course, would remain confidential for the time being.

He'd had to develop a trusting friendship with Jade and see how the healing process could evolve. The young Jedi knew people that could venture deep into her mind and hopefully cure the wound that has been eating her thoughts and practically making her life unbearable.

"That's all I can offer you, I'm afraid."

[member="Jade The Rogue"]

(Finally, I though Jade was gonna rot! :p ;) thanks for continuing this.)

"I have no where to go....... I can barely defend myself without almost passing out in the end....and I have seemingly gotten hooked on pills.. Like a normal person. If you'll have me, let us get out of here."

She pulled herself back to a stand, swaying on her feet.

The half masked man seemed to ponder heavily for a brief second, trying to find the words for such dire they encountered themselves into. If he were to aid this poor woman, Ar'ekk would have to make a huge sacrifice in her benefit, yet... A Jedi's life is all about sacrifice.

"I can't promise you a stable residence but you're welcome to stay in my ship, if you need it. Considering your health state, I'll see if I can assist you in any way possible. I know people that can find a definitive answer to find out what's going on."

As cozy as the Ebon Hawk seemed, things would get very crowdy with many people but he didn't mind at all if that meant helping something in desperate urgency.

"Take your belongings and use one of the beds in the crew quarters. If you need to freshen yourself up, there's a shower too. We'll be going soon after."

[member="Jade The Rogue"]

"If your willing to help,I will take your offer." Jade barely whispered. "All I have is what is on me."

The rouge wanted to accept, but didn't want to burden her friend.

After several minutes, Jade found herself stumbling into the crew quarters. The second she hit the bed, she was out in slumber.

Arekk

The Flesh Of Fallen Angels
Setting up inside the crew quarters was pretty easy for anyone to do as its wardrobes provided every crew member standard clothing, bed sheets, a pillow and other necessities for a comfortable living. The freighter had practically become Ar'ekk's home for the time being and his own quarters were decorated to resemble something more of a personal space rather than a hollow room, although most of his belongings had already been taken out to settle down within Aurum.

"Go ahead and settle down. I will be in the cockpit, if you need anything."

The young Jedi enjoyed the silence that built up inside the ship besides the occasional humming made by the controls and computers sorrounding the ship, its signature sounds being relatively soothing for his ear.
