Intent: To create a semi specialized emotter to use in a lightsaber
Development Thread: If needed
Manufacturer: Sasori Research
Model: Lightsaber Emitter
Affiliation: Jedi
Modularity: Able to be put in lightsabers
Production: Semi-Unique (Only A Handful of Characters)

Material: Desh-Terethium Components

Strengths:
  • Reduces Saber Weight (.5kg)
  • Made to handle more powerful energy cells
Weaknesses:
  • Reduces Blade Deflection Capabilities
  • Increases wear on non sasori lenses

Description: Designed to give a lightsaber a better and more focused blade. The Sasori emitter is less an automatically needed piece of technology in a lightsaber then it is something special that could be used for lightsabers designed to use light levels of energy. Be it from pack mounted proto sabers or from advanced power cells that have been developed for the lightsabers to function beyond the standard and more useful diathium energy cells. THe value of it is more staying power and more maintenance required in blades that use this functionality, the downside is the emitter makes the blade more regulated giving it a smaller appearance. The blade loses a lot of strength and broadness for deflecting energy bolts back. The materials used in its construction are lighter weight as well making the saber shave off a little weight off of the hilt. Specialized lenses designed by Sasori can handle some of the strain but it is only a small difference between how much more often you will need to repair and maintain your lightsaber.
