Strengths:
  • Support Role: Hosting a larger range of weapons and equipment, the zoomer is designed to get around and cause trouble. More for a support role then anything as it can be the first thing to an area laying down traps or waiting in the distance. It has amazing speed in a straight line
Weaknesses:
  • Performance Booster: Designed to go fast in a straight line, once engaged the ship pretty much loses any ability to turn or evade
  • Limited Munitions: while it can bring to support a squadron a variaty of tools, it doesn't have nearly as much space for warheads only carrying three at a time (mine layer and warhead launcher)
  • Blindspots: Another major problem is that most of its weapons are lacked in positions. Forward or rear facing leaving it vulnerable from the sides
  • Internal Space: Designed with function in mind, while it offers a little bit of housing and the ability to sleep within the ship itself there is not much room for more cargo and space.
Description: Designed by Saotome based off of the old ugly zoomer, a ship that was patchworked but somehow functioned as a solid vessel. The design was updated a little with use of the newer components and it was made to be more of a utility support craft laying mines, being able to fire railguns from a distance and drop bombs while buzzing enemy ships. Quick bombing runs before it makes long turns to come back around. The primary problems with the old design and the new one are the same, most of the weapons are mounted and leave heavy blindsides for them. The performance booster works overtime, giving it as much forward speed once engaged as it can but severely reducing any chance for the large wingspan to be able to turn. There is no real hanger of the ship instead being able to serve as a small crew quarters and room so they can travel and sleep on long runs with droid support and room for more personalized upgraded ships. The weapons themselves are something that is nice, with the different munitions of mines and warheads. Once they are generally expended the ship loses a large amount of its firepower compared to some of the other ships.

Is this referring to the minelayer or the warhead launcher? (Or both of them)


The ratings on this are a bit high right now. Essentially, it should drop four ratings to be balanced. Alternatively, it could be balanced through a combination of rating changes, reducing production, and/or adding significant weaknesses.

This doesn't match, but I'm okay with whichever one you choose.

This needs to drop about two more ratings to get to the approval range. Alternatively, we can drop one rating, and in the description of the ship itself, you can mention that this ship loses a significant amount of its firepower once its expendable munitions (mines and warheads) are out.
 
This still needs one rating (armament, defense, speed, maneuverability, etc) to go down.

Please change "a portion of its versatility" in this sentence to "a large amount of its firepower".

Alternatively, please remove two ratings.
