As seen in the Tera Vampir species regarding the Force, the Venjuta have an inborn use of the force due to their Vahla mix. More importantly, the Dark Side.

The fingernails and toenails of this species are black. It is not known how this came to be, but some myths have pointed to it being an early stage of Dark Side corruption.

The Force: Due to their combining with the Vahla, this species of Sangvamps have the naturally inborn ability to wield it. With many of the species having a strong connection to it and the Dark Side.

Intelligence: Of all the Bloodlines and species of the Sangvamp, the Venjuta species possess great intelligence; perhaps the most intelligent of all the Bloodlines/species.

Weaknesses:

Skeleton Structure: Because of their Vahla mixing, their skeleton system is less bone and more thickened cartilage. Though it allows for more flexibility, it is not as sturdy as those constructed from pure bone.

Frailness: Again, with the joining of the two species, their bodies are more frail than most species due in part of being half Vahla.

Religion/Beliefs:

The Venjuta Bloodline have no specific religion. However, some of the species/members have taken to worshipping the Goddess Vahl conducting rituals and sacrifices in her name. Unlike the Cult of Vahl that once/does allow non-Vahla into their ranks to worship the Goddess, the Venjuta do not. They view any non-Vahla who worship Vahl as heretics or false followers.

General behavior:

The Venjuta are not warriors by design, though they can fight, but opt to integrate themselves into politics and governments. Venjuta can be seen working as Senators, Ambassadors, Advisors, or other political positions throughout the galaxy in various governments and regimes.

All Venjuta possess an undying love for artistic nature. Some have taken up various artisan studies/professions or have become collectors of expensive and rare works. All fancy theatre, some even becoming actors portraying humans portraying vampires.

The Venjuta do not believe in creating members through the 'dark gift', the act of turning a mortal into a Sangvamp, for the reasons that it not only taints the Sangvamps, but their creation is not a Venjuta; regardless of it being a pureblood Vahla. Only through procreation among their species are others of their kind are born.

The Venjuta Bloodline do not believe in the traditional act of marriage. They follow the tradition of Handfasting, taking a life partner rather than a spouse.

Of all the species of Sangvamps, they hold an extreme following of family values. Whether it's direct family or species family; all Venjuta believe they are one big family to love and protect.

Like all species of the Sangvamp, they must feed once a week to stave off hunger madness, however, the Venjuta follow a strict code of feasting off only the wicked and evil doers of the galaxy. Innocence in any form should be preserved and allowed to live their lives untouched and unmolested. Because of this view, some of the other Bloodlines view them with wariness and skepticism.

The Venjuta are followers of a certain hierarchy system. There are only two titles amongst this Bloodline. The Count is the leader that resides over House Venjuta, the ruling body of the Bloodline, and the Patriarch/Matriarch that is not only an advisor to the Count; but is the supreme parental nurturer for the Bloodline. No Venjuta can challenge any position, and to do so will result in destruction. However, if one of the two titleholders dies, then a democratic vote is taken among all the Venjuta for a successor.

The Venjuta is probably the only Bloodline that hosts the idea of small covens. Unlike the other Bloodlines that view covens as a means of joined unions between the Bloodlines, the Venjuta do not. The Venjuta are scattered acroos the galaxy, and thus small covens are formed for protection and survival, however, each coven answers to House Venjuta with absolute loyalty.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Several thousand years before the Sith-Imperial war, the famed Jedi Knights tried to decimate the Vahla for their dark tendencies; sending the species across the galaxy in an attempt to survive. Broken and scattered, the Vahla sought shelter on any planet they could find. A few hundred Vahla landed on Serenno to etch out a new life, but it was here they discovered a hidden enclave of SangVamps. The two quickly formed a bond out of survival and friendship, years later they began to produce offspring; creating the first series of Sanguinius Vampirika-Vahla hybrids.

All across Serenno small covens of hybrids cropped up, conducting life as they saw fit. All the covens where loosely organized, and soon the struggle for food erupted in to wars. The newly formed hybrids waged war among themselves, in secret, all across Serenno.

The War Of Domination

During the time around 1,500 BBY, the covens began fighting amongst themselves; mainly over dominating one coven to accept their beliefs. Many lives were lost and the numbers began to dip to almost threatened like numbers. Trust between the coven leaders was lost; each coven leader fearing for those they were suppose to protect. Despite these fears, covens either were assimilated into other covens or were wiped out entirely.

By the time 1,300 BBY rolled around, a lone hybrid and leader of a coven by the name of Draxen Venjuta began to see the war as a possible extinction of the species. Electing to not wag war on his fellow species, he opted for diplomacy. Taking a risk, since trust among the covens was dead, he invited all the leaders of the warring covens to his coven's territory. For three months, which in time the war raged on, he lobbied for the others to accept a view and understanding that the infighting would eradicate the species by 1,285 if a solution was not met.

His proposals for the species to live under a single banner was nearly acceptable, and after two more years of fighting; an accord of peace was signed. All rivalries and disputes were settled in a one-on-one combat, and in the end, when the smoke cleared, the foundations of House Venjuta was born. Draxen swayed the others of his species to accept his ideals and beliefs, finally putting an end to the war and preserving the hybrid species.

Combining the fortunes of all the remaining covens, they managed to earn enough respect and recognition from the other Noble Houses on Serenno to accept them as a House of Serenno.

The Sith

Around 1,210 BBY, the Dark Lord Belia Darzu and her Apprentice arrived on Serenno. Sensing the combined strength of the Dark Side radiating on the planet, she sought out the source and discovered House Venjuta, now ran by Hexon Venjuta, and quickly took sanctuary with them. Sensing the Dark Side potential in the Venjuta, she began to train them in the ways of the Dark Side; with hopes of creating a secret weapon to destroy the Jedi.

Through her training, she collected a mass of assassins ready to strike a crippling blow against the Jedi. However, she left Serenno on an important mission and never returned. Despite her non-return, she laid the foundations for the Venjuta to understand the Dark Side of the Force. In her absence, the Venjuta began to gather strength in the Dark Side knowledge until the Sith Lord Darth Zannah, along with her Apprentice Darth Cognus, arrived on Serenno fleeing a Jedi ship.

Under Darth Zannah, they began to learn the dark arts of Sith magic, and began to become what is known as witches, or spellweavers. Zannah, like Darzu, saw great potential in the species; despite Cognus' repeated complaints that her Master would reveal the Sith to early. Zannah explained to her Apprentice these were not Sith, but tools to wield like a hammer against the Jedi. Again, Zannah and her Apprentice left Serenno with a promise to return; they never did.

During the Clone Wars, the Venjuta remained hidden and under the radar of Darth Tyrannus under a spell of concealment. The idea of aligning with the Sith was waning. However, when Dooku waged war on the Nightsisters, the Venjuta rallied to the sister's side; helping and aiding them in their fight. Realizing he had an enemy on his dorrstep, Dooku sent battle droids to deal with House Venjuta; underestimating them greatly. The droids were destroyed, and though there were plans to destroy House Dooku; the Venjuta never made their moves out of losing respect from the other Serenno Houses.

Then around 15 BBY, Darth Vader at the request of Darth Sidious was sent to Serenno to claim the hybrid assassins to hunt down the Jedi. The Venjuta hunted the Jedi relentlessly, killing Jedi and anyone aligned with the Force with unadulterated violence during what became known as the Great Jedi Purge. Lord Sidious promised great plans for the Venjuta; but he too disappeared. By 130 ABY members of the Venjuta joined with their Vahla cousins to help hunt down Jedi again. Thoe that joined the Jedi-hunting crusade never returned; prompting Count Ghoma Venjuta to enact a doctrine stating no Venjuta should ever again partake in such hunt; fearing the Jedi striking back in revenge.

By the time Darth Krayt and his One Sith appeared, the Venjuta had lost faith and loyalty in the Sith. When Darth Talon arrived on Serenno for refueling, the Venjuta tried to kill her; despite mixed feelings of the Sith between the Venjuta. With a hated promise to return, Darth Talon swore retribution for her attempted murder; and again she never returned.

The Venjuta remain undecided by their view of the Sith.

The Green Mystic Clan (Nightsister Clan)

Around 1,150 BBY, Juso Venjuta crashed on Dathomir. His body was nearly ruined as death sought to claim him. A Nightsister named Wio, discovered him and brought his near broken body back to her village. Through their magic, they managed to heal him. He vowed that this clan and the Venjuta would become eternal allies; which boasted well for the Clan since they were a collection of outcasts anyway.

For years the clan and the Venjuta were family; aiding each other when they could. With trust cemented, the Clan vowed to teach any Venjuta Dathomir magic if they wished; and thousands of Venjuta accepted it; adding it to their knowledge of Sith magic.

When the Clone Wars broke out, the Venjuta remained hidden; but one particular Nightsister clan 'sided' with Count Dooku. When a schism broke out between Dooku and the Clan, several hundred Venjuta flocked to Dathomir to protect their long time friends The Green Mystic clan. However, Dooku's arrogance stretched out against the other clans, dragging the Green Mystics into it, and subsequently the Venjuta. With the threat neutralized, the surviving Venjuta returned home; with plans to eradicate Dooku and his entire House.

The Galaxy In A Nutshell

In spite of their history, the Venjuta have remained true to themselves. Opting out of alignments in favor of preservation and the arts, they are seemingly out for themselves.

The only thing which gives me pause in the submission is this. I understand due to the connection with the Vahla that the species has a natural connection with the Force but I take issue with the wording saying each and every member has a "strong" connection to the Force. Force sensitivity is a rarity in the galaxy, strong connections even more so and so the Codex does not allow an entire race of strong Force Sensitives. If you change the wording so that many of the species' connection to the Force is not a strong one, I'll stamp this for approval.
