She learned the art from her mother, who learned it from her mother, who learned it from hers...from one generation to the next since time lost. She was given the blood name at birth. Sanguina would have no other path, no other fate, than the sacred practice of blood magic in the service of a Mand'alor.OVERVIEW
The story had been passed down, how the sanguine mystics came to serve the Mandalorians. It was said, in time past, a Mand'alor fell in battle near a village. Mortally wounded, a mystic from a nearby village performed blood rites that healed the Mandalorian ruler. The mystic's reward was to be accepted as vod, to serve Manda'lor with their practices. Sanquina's family is said to have descended from that bloodline.
Sanguina now holds a place of respect among the Ora'rade, the Spiritspeakers, as a seer, a healer and a protector. She is the Blood Mother.

APPEARANCE
Sanguina is of unimposing stature, her slender physique is wrapped in whipcord muscles. Yet she carries a powerful presence. She wears her long salt and pepper hair in thick dreadlocks, often with beads or bone embedded within them. Her features are somewhat weathered but still attractive. Her skin is tanned and heavily scarred by small lacerations. Several mysterious tribal tattoos adorn her skin. Sanguina's hands seem to be permanently stained with blood.
She typically wears simple clothing of rough spun fabric and a crimson cloak. Beads and bones adorn her like jewelry, and a razor sharp knife, and often several, hang from her belt. She also has her own suite of beskar'gam, modified specifically for her duties.

NOTABLE TRAITS
Strengths:
Rugged: Sanguina had lived among Mandalorians all her life, much of it in the wild. She has a storng resistance to disease and poisons. Sanguina is physically strong and has high in stamina, well able to keep up with the vod as necessary.
Mystic Pillar: Age and experience has given Sanguina a spirit that is difficult to shake. She does not panic, rage, become paralzyed by fear or disabled by grief. She is an even keel and a steady pillar against which even the strongest warrior may lean. Her mystic nature and solid presence earns respect and honor among the vode.
Herbalist: While her works in the Manda can heal and harm, she can also treat many ailments of the body and mind with potions, ointments and inhalants that proved more effective than many corporate-manufactured pharmaceuticals.
Weaknesses:
Blood-Reliant: While she can interact with the Manda/Spirits innately, much of Sanguina's more potent powers in the Manda requires blood and ritual. The nature and source of the blood depends on the intended effect.
Not a Mando Tank: Sanguina's focus is on her craft and, while she is more than capable of fighting, she is not a warrior, nor is it her role.

Blood Magic
Sanguina is a master in the art of blood magic. It is based on spiritual power that is tapped through rites and incantations facilitated through the blood of the living.
Sample Skills (all require blood)
Blood Tell - This rite provides visions of the past related to a specific object or person similar to Psychometry.
Vitae Medici - The ability to read the flow of blood within a living thing to diagnose wounds, disease and poison.
Healing - The ability to heal wounds, cure disease and negate poisons.
Bloodbold - A rite where imbued blood is used to mark a warrior. The combined effect gives hope, courage, a small boots to physical attributes and can restore exhausted or unconsious individuals, combining the effects of Inspire, and Revitalize.
Spirit Call - This rite summons a spirit that is temporarily beholden to Sanguine to perform simple tasks. They appear as a roughly humanoid shaped cloud of blood mist. A more complex form of this can summon the spirit of a fallen Mandalorian. The spirit must be willing to answer, and is honored for their appearance. He is kept no longer than necessary so they may return to the Manda.
Bloodspar - Similar to Darkshear, this rite creates a weapon of spirit appearing as a spear formed of crimson vapors. It acts as a Force weapon.
Control Blood - This power gives Sanguina control over blood, whether without or within a body. She can control its summon it, control its movement, and affect attributes such as temperature and viscosity.
Blood Sense - This ability allows Sanguina to detect living things with some sort of blood within a close proximity.
