SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Heavy Hitter: The sandhawk hits hard, hits pretty destructively and shows no mercy. She is designed to take a beating and keep going, or in the very least take the enemy down with her.
  • High carrying capacity: The Sandhawk can carry a tank and 30 troops from space (or some base) to another base or whatever without a single change in its pace (Its hard to go slower than Very slow....) and keep them alive for, eh, most of the way.
  • Faraday Cage: The Sandhawk has a faraday cage protecting its vital electronic componets from EMP and ion attacks.
Weaknesses:
  • No hyperdrive: In the spirit of all things dropship, this vessel has no hyperdrive, at all. It is able to hold a lot and serve in the gunship capacity, but honestly has nothing in the terms of hyperdrive. So, this thing has to be carried in the bellies of bigger hyperdrive ships if its going to go between planets.
  • Ponderous: While this titian can carry a tank under it and deploy it rapidly, has a lot of horse power under its belt, and a lot of fire power--it isn't a fast hitter.
  • No Comfort: The Passenger capacity is designed for maximal room, minimal cost and comfort. Everyone has to stand up. Which, yeah is kinda dangerous too. Its recomended that users have magnogrip boots to keep form falling over on turbulence and to hold on to the grip straps.
  • Exposed tank: While a tank can be rapidly deployed and carried under the Sandhawk's belly, it is totally exposed. Anything can hit it, damage the tank, or whatever. RMIA isn't responsible for any damages caused by passing vandals or whatever else there is that damages your under-carried vehicle.

Description:
There are one trick ponies--then there are two trick ponies--and then there are many trick ponies. The Sandhawk-class dropship is the second type.

The Sandhawk fills the important roles of both gunship and dropship. And it does both of these incredibly well, but not much else. Its weapon loadout is ideal for air to surface or air to air support. Especially the first one. Its slow speed and slow maneuverability, however, means its pretty poor against fighter attacks so its ideal to give this girl an escort to wherever she's going if that's gonna be an issue. The flechete repeater is super ideal for taking on infantry and blasting away at those pesky meat cans from above. The charric cannon is awesome for taking down heavier things--like tanks or stuff. On top of that, the flak cannon, laser cannons, and 3 all purpose launch tubes are pretty ideal for taking out anything that is still standing after that.

Besides its heavy guns and all that which give it a great way to defend the boys on the ground, its good at moving the boys around from one spot to another on the ground. Its troop capacity is 30--however there are no chairs or really any seatbelts... or anything that pertains to the creature comfort and safety besides grip handles. So, if you wanna ride in this thing safely from point A to point B through impacts and turbulence (cause we know she ain't gonna bank worth a damn so let's not even pretend it could), it'd be ideal to have personal safety gear like armor, life insurance, and magno-grip boots.

And really guys, who wants to move troops into one location just to have to delay your assault to move the tanks and heavy artillery in line for that attack? Heck, by that time, your troops have probably already been mowed down and the other guy is dancing on their dead bodies! The Sandhawk helps solve this problem by carrying one vehicle under belly--within reason. Don't expect this thing to carry an AT-AT underbelly cause it just can't. Show some restraint, anything about the size of a tank.

All in all this is just an updated dropship for the board.
