Sanctuary

OSL's main base of operations is a compound collectively known as Sanctuary.

Build is taking place in the Foundations thread, which will also be used as a dev thread, if necessary, for when the location is subbed. I'm going to begin working on that soon, so everyone can use the sub as a reference.

Besides obvious things like a library, gardens, rooms and suites, a practice area, classrooms, landing pad etc, I would like anyone who has requests for what will exist in the compound to please add them here.

While a center for peace, it's builders are not naïve- We will be including things like a shield generator and ion cannons (ala the Hoth Base, for similar use). Other defensive things will be taken into consideration as well, but additional ideas are definitely welcome.

Location: On the planet of Monastery, there is a mountain range near the equator. It slices across the planet's middle, tall and proud, rising from the rainforests and creating a circle on the surface to balance out the planet's heavenly rings. Within these mountains, high in the cool mists of the upper reaches, a protected valley was carved from the stone over a millennia ago. The nearest safe landing for large ships is many kilometers away, though smaller, more moderately sized vessels could land directly in the valley itself.

It's location high in the mountains moderated the heat of the forests below. The air was heavy with moisture, but thin from the altitude, cool and refreshing. A waterfall on the south end offer the music of running water, a spray of a million diamond droplets in the air around it. Two pathways through the mountains, to the east and the west, passed beneath circular stone monoliths, remnants of an order far older but long lost- The Order of the Sacred Circle, spiritual ancestors to the current residents.

This is where the compound, collectively known as Sanctuary, was built.
