Description: The Lowick Campus is a facility designed to usher the company into their next green energy venture. Situated on the Southern Sea the campus sits against a verdant mountain and expands below.The Lowick Campus is a piece in a larger puzzle in which Salacia Consolidated will be using the Southern Seas for green energy operations. It is considered the foundation of their first steps to continue their project on Lowick.
History: Looking to expand a location for their green energy operations, Salacia looked to Lowick. Being an underdeveloped planet with small farming ventures, it was logical to experiment with green energy. The goal is to keep the planet as pristine as possible while providing energy for sustainable growth.
The project was conceived with the help of Tai Fa and associates. Fa Holdings took on the task of tweaking the original design in addition to constructing the facility.
Research Laboratory :
The heart of the facility. Research here focuses only on green energy and focuses on growing sustainable technologies for future ventures. Top of the line research equipment was brought in from all corners of the galaxy in order to provide the best competitive edge. Movement in and out of the research laboratory is highly restricted. Employees are regularly screened and security levels assigned accordingly.
Residential :
Houses all Salacia Employees that work on the Lowick Campus if they so choose. Located in the lower levels of the facility, the apartments are fairly standard but employees are allowed to customize within reason. Located on this level is also a cafeteria that serves the entire campus. Additionally there is entertainment space both indoors and out to keep morale high in the relatively remote location.
Agricultural :
Spearheaded by a subset of Fa Holdings, the large greenhouse sits to the left of the facility, domed in solarium glasteel to help keep the energy footprint low. The greenhouse provides seventy-five percent of the foodstuffs for the Lowick Campus, designed to keep costs down and food fresher. Additionally, Salacia uses a portion of its facility to continue researching and designing strains of algae for its biofuel program, currently in its infancy on the planet of Terminus.
Control House :
Housing controls and data collecting for the main energy combine feed into the main control house located on the Lowick Campus. While the main energy site is located deeper in the Southern Sea, much of the fine tuning and technical work occurs at a distance. Here the flow of energy is tweaked to where it is needed most to prevent brownouts and to keep consumers happy. Additionally battery banks and remote monitoring stations along underground electrical lines are controlled from inside the control house. Due to the sensitive nature of the control house, employees are likewise screened and given a special security status in order to work in this section of the Lowick facility.
Intent: To give Salacia Consolidated another location in addition to providing green energy for operations for Lowick.
