- Water-Proof - The Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse enables this saber to activate underwater and remain active, thus keeping it free from one of its most commonly accessible weaknesses.
- Unique - The properties of the permafrost crystal make it unique to the owner of the lightsaber upon meditation with it through the force, meaning those beyond the owner are unable to activate it.
- Cutting Speed - Both the Lignan and Opila crystals are well known for their increase of a lightsaber's cutting power, especially the former, and when compared side-by-side with a normal lightsaber using a normal mephite-type Adegan Crystal there is a somewhat noticeable difference in how quickly the former would cut through a blast door, for example, than the latter. Outside of cutting through heavy metals, however, there is no advantage between using these and the average crystal, artificial or not, in terms of cutting speed and power.
To say that Silara felt guilty in giving one of her children her own personal holocron and the other a datacron was an understatement. It appeared, even to her, that she was favoring her youngest, whom was also the youngest of the twins for whom she was preparing inheritance pieces for. Where Silara and Alric were going there would be no need for a lightsaber, especially not one specially crafted to her own liking, and the fact that she possessed the crystals of two sabers, as well as the second lightsaber in its entirety, meant she had easy access to the saber crystals that, in her head, would be a very nice family heirloom, one of which she added the permafrost crystal that had been purchased from Arceneau Trading Company some years back. Due to the nature of the permafrost crystal, it would bond with the person to bond with it through the force via meditation, meaning that potential thieves with a greater deal of skill than her relatively unskilled teenage daughter would be unable to wield it once she had meditated with it per her instructions.
The Lignan and Opila crystals that were harvested from her original sabers are suitable for enhancing the cutting ability of the blade, giving it an edge in the speed at which it cuts compared to other, average, sabers. The hilt of the blade was designed to fit her daughter's hands specifically, based on the size of her gloves, and was treated alchemically to ensure her daughter would not suffer the same sort of devastating defeat that she had due to the forced explosion of a lightsaber. The alchemy gave it the ability to reflect stray blaster fire and resist the direct blows, sustained, by lightsabers. The effect of Sith alchemy also causes it to absorb and store force lightning, although the blade of the saber similarly acts as a lightning rod that deflects it at the same time, meaning this benefit is essentially completely non-existent. The saber runs on a bifurcating cyclical-pulse to prevent water, both from submerging or simply a bucket of water, from shorting out the blade. The color of the blade is an electric-purple.
