Intent: To create a non-standard scattershot round for the purpose of use against Force Users to be sold by Ignus Industries.
Development Thread: None
Manufacturer: Ignus Industries
Model: SA-1 "Exploding Buck" Round
Affiliation: Patrons of Ignus Industries
Modularity: No
Production: Mass
Material: Duraplast, gunpowder, Phospha, Detonite

Strengths:
  • Fires a spray of eleven '00' size BB's at .84cm each to disperses in a tight knit cone.
  • Has a thin inner lining of phospha which causes the detonite to explode if the BB's are stopped with the Force (due to sudden jolt) or impact a hard surface.
Weaknesses:
  • Fires in a conical shape, meaning it's not effective at a range of more than 45 meters.
  • Does not explode upon contact with soft flesh, acting as regular buckshot instead.

Description: Ignus Industries has taken notice of the common dilemma of dealing with radical, unsensible Force Users throughout the galaxy. Often this necessitates the need for specialized armaments capable of dealing with individuals that can stop a blaster bolt in its tracks, or, even worse, deflect it right back at you. History has shown that one of the best weapons for use against such individuals is a projectile weapon. However, such weapons that fire a single slug run the risk of easily missing, or having the slug/bullet stopped in its tracks by use of their fancy space magic. One notably effective solution has been the use of buckshot because of its scattering into numerous small projectiles, making it nearly impossible to stop by deflection, and even difficult to stop with the Force.

By taking these projectile shots, crafted out of duraplast just like the shell itself, hollowing them out, lining them with a thin, interior layer of phospha, and packing them full of detonite, these small shots pack a powerful punch that will detonate on impact with a hard surface or when stopped suddenly in mid air (as the phospha is summarily pressed against the buck's outer shell at the speed it was previously traveling when the shot was stopped, same as how a ball flattens itself when contacting a solid surface). A single buck round may not cause significant trauma to the target, but the impacts of several can cause serious harm to the target. A point blank shot has been shown to be capable of blowing a large hole through standard, non explosive resistant armors. Just like General Cracken intended!

Warning: This is not a toy. These are highly lethal rounds and are subject to the governing authority of the jurisdiction of usage. Use at your own risk. Does not guarantee the death of a Force User. User discretion is advised. Ignus Industries is not liable for the mishandling or misuse of this product, nor any deaths caused by it.
