Special Features:
STF: The armorweave contains a fluid which solidifies (at the point of contact) upon having a force applied. But at low enough speeds it will move normally. Since the STF is a layer in the armorweave itself, it is not affected by the movements of the user. This provides extra protection against penetrating forces (knives etc), kinetic attacks and slug thrower weapons.

Description:
The commonly found Amourweave has long circulated around the Galaxy and is widely recognised. Already a flexible material it is commonly used in lightweight armour. The Umbrella Interest Company has recently rediscovered the use for non-newtonian (can i even use that term) fluids in amour. The concept was taken further using dense nano-particles suspended in a gel like substance.The combination was stabilised as to avoid sedimentation of the nano particles. The particles react to incoming forces by flocculating in essentially incompressible clumps due to the extremely small inter particle gaps. This provides significantly better protection against slug thrower weapons and puncturing/kinetic forces. The fluid was used to treat the armoweave and even form a small layer by itself between two armorweave layers.
Puncturing weapons can avoid the STF's protective effects by simply moving slow enough to not agitate it, from then on the protection rating is whatever your average armorweave provides against puncturing weapons.
