- Blaster Resistance: Thanks to the thick duraplast plates on the armour, vital areas on the body of the wearer have great protection from blasters and avoid serious injury from them as a result.
- Environmental Protection: Thanks to the enviro filter and magnetic seals along with the armourweave, this armour grants high protection from environmental damage and prevents much getting through to the wearer without significant pressure.
- Weak Points: Since the plates do not protect all areas of the body, particularly around the joints, these areas do not offer anywhere near the protection of the rest of the army, and are weak points that could be targeted.
- Flashy: This armour is not intended to be subtle, if the flowing capes included weren't enough. This armour is designed to be eye-catching and say a lot, and easily could draw the eye of enemy infantry, snipers or anyone with a grudge alike.
Not long after expanding the business of Barabian Systems and putting them into a more prosperous position, Varik Ice made a personal commission for an armour design that he had helped create himself. Though none of the members of the company knew why the new owner wanted this made, it was done anyway. Originally, the armour was to be heavier and be covered in duraplast, but it was later decided that it would be more efficient for the Duraplast to be used in plates, both in terms of production and use.
After the design was finally finished, production began. The armour was tested in various sizes, and although human and near-human sizes are the most common, Ice insisted that versions be made for all kinds of species, from the very small to large, in order to accommodate all sorts of customers. It was considered odd, but not totally strange for him to request this, and it was done. Even now, the employees and board don't understand exactly why Varik needs so many suits of this produced, or where it may be going.
