PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

A young woman at the beginning of her twenties, Ryzen is in the prime of her life. She is of middling height and weight, and is extremely quick and agile. She prefers fighting with smaller weapons, like the knife on her belt and the blade hidden in her gauntlet. Though she carries a rifle at the small of her back, she much prefers the pistol holstered in the quick-draw covering at her right hip.
Ryzen wears her brown hair tied back in a Dutch braid, the tail of which is tucked away beneath her cloak and under-armor when in working. She has high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and a rounded chin. Her eyes are a startling blue.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Growing up in the frequent company of predators, both human and animal, Ryzen has a healthy respect for the natural world and the dangers it can produce. She also knows, however, the sentient species of the galaxy have reigned supreme for dozens of millennia, and no culture embodies the apex spirit quite as well as her own -that of the Mandalorians.
Ryzen is rarely seen without her buy'ce. She relies on the plethora of sensory and informational technological systems integrated into the helmet to keep her safe and informed in the field, and feels half blind or deaf without it.
The Sorcerers have their "Force" to see things others can't; I have my buy'ce.
She is extremely confident, cool, and calm when working in the wilderness, but is apprehensive about plying her trade in a more "civilized" and man-made environment. Her professionalism shines when she feels in control. When she does not, her more youthful mannerisms tend to show.
Ryzen is an extremely determined individual, and will never give up, no matter how steep the odds. She honed this trait to an extremely high degree during her travels with her brother.
Ryzen has an idle habit of flipping her knife, holding it by the handle and tossing it 360 degrees (or multiples thereof) and catching it once again.
STRENGTHS
Call of the Wild. Ryzen is an extremely competent and experienced Scout. She is good at searching and memorizing all manner of harsh landscapes, surviving with ease to track and hunt her prey.
Ambidextrous. Ryzen is equally capable of performing dextrous tasks with either hand.
Indomitable Determination. Ryzen will never give up on her assigned task, no matter how high the stakes or low the odds of success.
WEAKNESSES
Guilt. She regrets her past actions, and wonders if her parents' lives could have been saved if she had made different choices.
Isolation. She is currently a Mando adrift. She has no support system, and no Clan to lean on.
Country Bumpkin. Ryzen's speciality lies in the wilderness. She does not have much practice applying her skills in an Urban environment.
Anti-Marksman: Ryzen is not a particularly skilled shot with her rifle, and much prefers using her pistol. This sacrifices a lot of range and stopping power for accuracy.
HISTORY
Ryzen is the younger child of two Mandalorian big-game hunters who operated a hunting lodge in the remote jungles of Onderon. Growing up, many different patrons passed through her parents' lodge before heading to the wilderness to try their hand at felling one of the planet's fearsome beasts. Ryzen tried to learn a small skill or trick from each one. Her brother Tomar, on the other hand, was more interested in their tall tales.
As the years passed, Ryzen studied under her parents, as well as the revolving door of strangers, and became a highly skilled Scout, Tracker, and Hunter. When the time came, she passed her verd'goten with ease.
A scant few years later, a schism would occur that would bring Ryzen's idyllic (for a Mandalorian) family life to an end. Inspired by all the hunters' tales he heard growing up, Tomar decided to dedicate himself to unravelling one in particular. On the particularly drunken night after a successful hunt, one Mando had boasted that he had once seen a wild Mythosaur roaming free on a planet in Wild Space. Though he couldn't remember the exact world, Tomar managed to learn the approximate coordinates of the region. From that night onward, finding the wild Mythosaur became an obsession, coloring every corner of Tomar's life. Things came to a head one night when Boz and Myka Vord found their son packing his belongings -and a fair selection of expensive hunting supplies- in an attempt to leave in the middle of the night without saying goodbye. The pair were furious, calling their son a fool for trying to hunt down a species that was long-extinct outside a laboratory, let alone searching for it so far beyond its -and their- homeworld. Ryzen was awoken by the commotion, and when all was said and done, the pair of siblings, aged just 16 and 20, departed on one of the spare ships left behind at the lodge by Mandalorians who had been bested by their prey.
While the pair were young and inexperienced, they made for a rather complimentary team. Tomar piloted the ship, a skilled navigator and pilot, as well as an unusually talented marksman with a rifle. When boots hit the ground, his skill set lay in taking down opponents many magnitudes larger than himself. Of course, he had to find them first. That's where Ryzen came in. She manned the ship's sensors, scanning for viable worlds, and led the charge through various landscapes with her sharp survival skills. For five years, the siblings combed through every world in the sector the hunter had indicated, but all their efforts led to nothing. Disheartened, and with his self-confidence at an all-time low, Tomar called off the expedition. Splitting the profits from the sparse non-Mythosaur kills they'd made, Tomar dropped his vod'ika off at the nearest major Spaceport and taken the ship as far from Mandalorian space as he could manage, seeking to make his fortune as a Bounty Hunter and wallow in his failure.
With nothing else left to do, Ryzen had decided to swallow her pride and head home. At 16, she had still been shaking off the last dregs of childhood, her unwavering belief that her vod could do anything, could do no wrong, leading to the reality of quite literaly following him to the edge of the universe. She was older now, and her half-decade of traipsing an untold number of harsh environments on untold worlds had led to much hardening and maturation. Where Tomar had lost his drive as time had gone on, Ryzen had found hers. She was older and wiser now, and felt prepared to face her parents and deliver her apology. Not for leaving, of course, as both she and her brother had been adults by law, but for the disrespectful way they had done so, and the utter lack of news or contact they had sent home in the past five years.
Unfortunately, such an apology was never to be. Upon arriving home to the lodge, Ryzen found the place abandoned. Desperate for answers, she found herself traveling to the place countless generations had gone before her in search of their goal: Mandalore, the heart of their Empire. The news she found there was... heavy. Her parents, too, had sought guidance on Mandalore, and as a result, had become two of the legions of victims of the Planeshift calamity. Disheartened, Ryzen was at a crossroads. She had no idea where she should go, what she should do with her life. She almost began to spiral. Then, she centered herself and remembered the Resol'nare. Yes. While she had no Clan left to speak of, she would answer The Call. That very day, she traveled to the Warhost Headquarters and enlisted in the Nite Owls.
Now, Ryzen Vord desires but three things: to prove herself as a warrior, to serve her Mand'alor, and to one day have people she can call 'family' once again.
