GENERAL INFORMATION
· Name: Rupturer
· Designation: Non-sentient
· Homeworld: Valrar
· Language: Does not have a language
· Average Lifespan: 5 Galactic Standard Years
· Estimated Population: Scattered
· Description: The Rupterer looks much like an insect, complete with mandibles and four stumpy legs that it can scuttle around on. The biggest and most notable physical trait at a glance are the large sacs of extremely corrosive acid that take up a significant portion of its body.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
· Breathes: Type I
· Average height of adults: .8 meters
· Average length of adults: .5 meters
· Skin color: Gray (acid sacs are red)
· Hair color: No hair
· Distinctions: The biggest distinction for the Rupturer is once again the large acid sacs that are prominent across its body. These sacs are the primary weapon the creature uses as when it gets near an enemy or target, it can detonate these sacs.
· Races: No other races

· Strengths:
 • Acid sacs – As mentioned before, the acid sacs are the Rupturer’s main course of attack. When it nears an enemy, the Rupturer will trigger a massive surge of adrenaline and other chemicals to violently explode the sacs and themselves. The acid is extremely corrosive, easily being able to eat away at most structural materials, such as durasteel and duracrete, and armor materials. The sacs are durable enough that the creature can move without risk of breaking their valuable payload.
 • Roly-Poly – To move about, due to the small legs the Rupturer has, the creature will tuck itself into a ball and roll towards a target using a complex sensory organ to sense motion and vibrations instead of eyes to see.
· Strength/Weakness:
 • Expendable – The Rupturer is designed to be a suicide unit, throwing itself into enemies and blowing themselves up to deliver their payload. Their life expectancy, especially in a battle, is abysmal.
· Weaknesses:
 • Friendly Fire – The acid explosion caused by the Rupturer’s death can just as easily be used against friendlies as it can be used against hostiles.
 • Popping a Balloon – If a slugthrower or blaster round hits the acid sacs, they trigger a pre-mature detonation of the Rupturer. Even a properly thrown rock can breach the acid sac.
 • No armor – The creatures have very little in terms of armor so they aren’t all that difficult to kill, a single shot will likely do it even if their sacs are not hit.
 • Confusable – A wily opponent who is familiar with the creatures can trick their sensory organ as they cannot physically see anything by simply triggering vibrations and movement in other areas to protect themselves.
 • Light side allergy – As with most every Sithspawn, a direct application of the light side will kill it.

CULTURE
· Diet: Carnivore (Scavenger)
· Communication: No ability to communicate besides receiving instructions from their controller
· Technology level: No technology level
· Religion/Beliefs: Non-sentient so does not have a belief system
· General behavior: Their general behavior, when not rushing towards an enemy, is mainly scrounging for meat leftover from other creature’s kills. Due to their use in combat however, it was deemed not necessary to give them much in terms of behavioral patterns. When in combat, they will typically be sent forward first to soften a target up, with the creatures having very little, if at all, in terms survival instincts. Some research suggests that at just the moment before detonation, as the chemicals are surging through its body, it experience an almost primal joy at releasing its payload.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

As part of her continued studies under her Master into the creation of Sithspawn, the next project the two worked on was the creature they deemed the Rupturer. Establishing a facility on the jungle world of Valrar, Eldaah began transporting captured laigrek specimens to begin experimenting on. The goal, as stated by her master, was to create a new Sithspawn that could break fortified positions or heavily armored enemy vehicles or infantry.

Using the laigrek as a base, more specifically the deadly laigrek variant that could be encountered in the darker parts of Dantooine, Eldaah and her master began the adaptation process. Through the use of the dark side and specific genetic manipulation, the laigreks were shortened with the extra tissues and armor plating from the base creature being reduced to basic organic matter that would be incorporated into the most prominent feature of the Rupturer. This extra matter was turned into large sacs that are carried on the back of the new monster which with to contain their valuable cargo. One set of the laigrek’s legs were removed in the process, while the other four were reduced in size to mere stubs. The result was the creatures are not able to walk easily or fast, but they can make up for this by tucking their limbs under themselves and rolling towards a target. This process does mean the creatures are not exactly armored in any way, meaning a single shot from a weapon is highly likely to kill them.

While Eldaah focused on forming the creature’s body, her master was working on the more compelx structures necessary for the creature to fulfill its purpose. Chief among those was adapting the deadly laigrek’s fire-breathing capabilities into an extremely corrosive acid, using a combination of the dark side and Art of the Small. The resulting acid was exactly as corrosive as she hoped for, being able to eat through most structural and armor materials up to quality 6 (tougher materials required several coatings to achieve the affect). This extremely valuable acid is stored within the sacs on the Rupturer’s body, which does present a tempting and easy target for an adversary to shoot at a distance. However, once a Rupturer gets close enough, Eldaah’s master had modified its adrenal system to have the ability to unleash a surge of adrenaline and other chemicals to excite a volatile reaction, resulting in the creature exploding violently and spreading its acidic payload in a decent radius (about 4 meters). The acid is dangerous to everyone in that radius, whether they be friend or foe. Also to note, any disruption of the sacs, such as from a slugthrower or blaster round, even a decently thrown rock, will be enough to trigger a pre-mature detonation.

Eldaah’s Master also modified the creature’s eyes, as they would be useless in the form of movement it chose. Replacing the eyes were a complex sensory organ that detects even small hints of movement or vibrations, indicating either a building or person.

As a Sithspawn, the creature is weak to the light side of the Force, with direct applications immediately killing the Rupturer.

Good solid balance here. Very cool. A couple of extremely minor housekeeping points:
 • It's spelled 'roly-poly'.
 • Under 'links', either add anything applicable or just say 'none'.
 • Their life expectancy IS abysmal, not ARE abysmal.
Otherwise, at first and second glance, you look good to go.

Looks like you've gone for more serious weaknesses and limitations than strengths. Seems plenty balanced to me.

armor materials (beskar and phrik require multiple hits of the acid to suffer severe damage)
Beskar and Phrik are generally described as being nigh indestructible materials. Unless you can provide a reference in canon or the factory/codex of similar capabilities, I'm going to need you to remove this line. Its ability to damage heavier metals like durasteel are fine, however.

 • Roly-Poly – To move about, due to the small legs the Rupturer has, the creature will tuck itself into a ball and roll towards a target using a complex sensory organ to sense motion and vibrations instead of eyes to see.
That's honestly my favorite part of this submission.

Approved.
