The family of Nuruodo comes from a long line of professional soldiers, the house itself presiding primarily over Military and Foreign affairs whether that be war, defense against invaders, or even in the rarest of cases, diplomacy. Arguably one of the strongest houses, House Nuruodo is among the four current Ruling Houses, in fact it was House Nuruodo - or members of it - which initiated the drive for a new Chiss nation - The Chiss Primacy.

Members of this house or members Merit Adopted into this house commonly find themselves employed as Officers in the Chiss Defense Force or Family Phalanx as well as Agents in the Chiss Intelligence. A small number of the Nuruodo family have been employed as foreign agents, meeting with other civilizations and species though this is in the minority.

Csapla Family​

The family of Csapla has a reputation for being effective quartermasters, planners, and colonists. The skills necessary to manage resources, keep books, and plan development on both existing and non-existent colonies is unrivaled. Another of the strongest houses, Csapla has weathered many storms over the years, a stout and hearty attention to detail no doubt a contributing factor. Their strengths lie in using just the right amount of resources necessary to get the job done and are extremely efficient - waste not, want not.

Members of this house or members Merit Adopted into this house commonly find themselves employed as Quartermasters in the Chiss Defense Force or Family Phalanx, as book keepers and urban planners, as colonist or even reclamation workers. Builders and Resource allocation specialists, members of this family are taught how to do more with less.

Inrokini Family​

The Inrokini family has served the Chiss Ascendancy for centuries, their aptitude for science and technology unparalleled among the Chiss. It is important to note that while just as capable as their Nuruodo brethren, their focus is non-military in nature, preferring both the medical field and astronomy for their technological advancements. Another important facet of the Inrokini family is their strong aptitude towards communication whether its electronics technology or spoken words. Quick on their feet, members of this family are often found practicing their verbal and written skills.

Members of this house or member Merit Adopted into this house commonly find themselves employed as science officers aboard Chiss vessels, telecommunications workers, researchers and scientists, astronomers, even some engineers. Almost all are well versed in the art of conversation and debate and while their primary aptitude lies with technology their verbal and written skills are some of the most prestigious of all the families.

Stark defenders of justice and order, the Sabosen family comes from a long line of stoics. Logical thinking and reasoning is by far one of their more pronounced skills as is their penchant for teaching. These skills go hand in hand and serve the family well. Often looked to when an issue appears clouded by emotion or perhaps extenuating circumstances, the Sabosen family always seems to be able to shed light on issues and bring the truth to bear. Responsible when it comes to law and maintaining order, they are quick to educate those who fail to adhere to the rules governing such order.

Members of this house or Merit Adopted into this house are commonly employed as lawyers, lawmakers, politicians, and almost always can be assured to be found among the ranks of the Chiss Defense Force or the House Phalanxes. On the other hand, they are also found predominantly in education whether it be medical or otherwise and seem to hold an aptitude for teaching others.
