Special Features:
-The Rudis of the Dark Lord contains the following properties, similar to any Sith Sword:
--In the hands of an experienced darksider, the Sword can withstand strikes from a lightsaber.
--Reflective surface allows for deflection of projectiles similar to a lightsaber.
--Sharpness and strength can be altered with the implementation of the Dark Side, as well as polarity and conductivity.
--The Rudis can serve as a conduit for the darkside, allowing the user to focus and harness their powers at a greater degree than normal.
--The Rudis can collect and re-direct force lightning/emerald judgment.
-The Rudis automatically engraves, onto the blade, the attributes or name of any individual slain by the Assassin that is bound to said Rudis.
Description: The Dark Lord of the Sith, with the guidance of the Wrath, commissioned the construction of Sith Swords to mark certain Sith Assassins for exemplary work in whatever field they practice. Be it war, subterfuge, or assassinations, any Sith Assassin, from this point onward, is presented a Rudis of the Dark Lord at the point of ascension to Sith Lord.
The Rudis is an archaic construction of Sith Sword, far shorter than the more typical constructions, close to half the common length. Alchemized and transmuted through assistance by [member="Sage Bane"] and [member="Darth Carach"], the sword holds all the similar properties of historical Sith Swords. This includes the ability to perform in combat as a lightsaber, manipulation of hardness/sharpness through the force, the ability to increase the focus of the darkside within the wielder, and the ability to re-direct lightning. However, it has the additional property of engraving. As an assassin kills a mark or enemy, the Rudis pulls information from the assassin in order to discern descriptive properties of the slain. Once either attributes or name is obtained, the Rudis is automatically engraved in Sith Runes with the accounting of the kill. The sword holds a permanent black coated blade, the Sith Runes form in the color of vibrant molten red. It can even be said that the redder the Rudis, the more accomplished the Sith Assassin is.
At the moment of being given to the newly anointed Sith Lord, the Rudis binds with the wielder permanently. Transferring the item to another user does not provide any form of mental linking, thus voiding the properties of etching until the item is returned to it's original user. In order for the etching to work, the Rudis must be equipped or held by the Assassin at the time of the kill. The engraving are permanent and cannot be altered with Sith Alchemy or modifying of Rudis molecular structure.
The Rudis is offered in a dark tanned leather sheath, capable of being worn on either the back or the hip. This can be modified as the user sees fit.
