Description:
After Animus Malgus and Ruby Wilded's legendary acolyte duel at the Sith Temple on Coruscant. Ruby constructed her own pair of the signature weapons of the Sith Assassins, the wrist blades. Though she lost that duel, she was gifted a small amount of Songsteel from an unknown person. A Sith Lord that perhaps liked her ferocity. No matter; the metal was put to use in the blades construction.
The blades, worn atop the arms, at eight inches long deploy from the housing under spring force by the mechanism. It has enough power to easily pierce flesh as it extends. Being constructed with Songsteel. The wrist blades can withstand Lightsaber attacks, not only on the blades themselves, but the housing too. This gives Ruby not only a deadly weapon but an effective shield atop her forearms. That leaves the rest of the arm exposed of course, and as the leather is not alchemized, it too is vulnerable to damage. Breaking either strap would reduce the effectiveness greatly, both and the weapon falls off. Ruby wished she could have altered the material, but as she'd yet to begin learning. Or if she even can learn Sith alchemy, it remains the weapons greatest fault. Its greatest advantage is near silence when deploying. Aiding in stealth assassinations or surprise attacks like all other SA blades.
