SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High Powered
  • Robust
  • High Recoil
Strengths:
  • High Powered - The defender packs a mean punch, suiting its role of heavy blaster pistol, and was designed to go up against heavier armored infantry that soldiers may come up against and increase their odds of survival should they find themselves without their primary weaponry.
  • Reliable - The defender is a very rugged, durable weapon as it is a secondary armament of their infantry and no one wants to fall back to their sidearm only to discover that it doesn't work.
Weaknesses:
  • Heavy - The defender is a big, heavy pistol that weighs every inch of its rugged appearance. It is a difficult pistol for weaker individuals to carry around and try to use, its weight is enough that large amounts of practice are needed to compensate for it in order to stay accurate.
  • Kicks - The heavy blaster pistol kicks like a mule, and coupled with its size, makes it very difficult as it kicks enough that someone must line up their shot anew each time it is fired. Rapid fire is also incredibly difficult with this weapon as the pistol will rapidly climb if not pulled back down and anyone they likes their wrist would be best keeping to slow, accurate firing.
DESCRIPTION
The defender was created to help round out the Republic's sidearm armory as it lacked a pistol with a punch strong enough to threaten the heavier armored infantry that have started to become more and more common with the other factions in the universe. Like the Lucky Seven pistol, it is meant to be available as an option, or issued, pistol to any of the armed forces regardless of their place depending on if they valued power over accuracy and high capacity. This is a role the defender has filled admirably as, thanks to its solid construction, it needs less maintenance then most pistols of its size and type which helps ease of logistics and nothing makes the bureaucracy in the Republic feel better then a cheap, effective weapon.
