Rquesting a seat in Senate(representing Imahalyan as queen)

A twilek appeared on the holo emmiter when the message was open and there stood a tall twilek dressed quite plain yet the clothing showed royalty in a subtle way
"Hello republic senators I am queen stardust of the planet Imahalyan a large agricultural planet far from the war, I have noticed several attacks to republic world's wh and wish to help by sending supplies where need however I also wish to request a seat on the Senate as I wish to have my planet in the bigger picture and help out if you would consider I would be glad, may the force be with you till next time

Ayumi was interested in seeing the holomessage, something they could do with as another planet wanted to come and help them before. It was a nice thing they could go with and she wanted to hear her out as well as some of the other senators in the senate. Whatever they decided the thought of more agricultural planets that could send supplies was coming in handy. "Hmmm should be interesting to hear her out." She said it to herself mostly but leaned back looking around the chamber.

There was no way that Suravi was traveling all the way to Yutan for the assembly, and there was little point as the Queen of Imahalyan contacted the Senate by holo-call anyways. She checked into the conference from her personal study inside her office.

She sat back, listening to the Twi'lek as she made her introductions, and voiced her desire for entry into the Galactic Republic. As always, Suravi had done her research on the planet. Located near Endor in the South Western quadrant, Imahaylan was far out there. What's more, it was nearly enveloped by the presence of the One Sith, Sith Empire, and First Order in the region. The area itself was little more than an Outer Rim backwater, but activity could pick up if those various Imperialist and Sith powers discovered the Republic setting up in the area. Coverage would be tricky to say the least.

"Good day, Queen Stardust, I am Senator Suravi Teigra of the Kiribian Systems Union. While the Senate would normally welcome support thrown our way, I'm curious about your motivations. Providing aid to the Republic would put your planet on the radar of our adversaries, who happen to surround you while your system sits far from Republic space. Why are you willing to take the risk? Moreover, are you equipped to take on the risk?"

She made no comment on the topic of Senate membership, lacking the information to come up with a conclusion. However, as it stood now, she was only comfortable with providing humanitarian aid and advisement. The Twi'lek would really have to make a case for Suravi to change her mind.

She stood as her holocom turned on and dusted herself off as she stood again and watched a woman appear as she listened for a moment

She was then caught by surprise at some info she had no idea of, sith powers close to home surrounding the planet... definitely wasn't something she liked..."senator survavi I was unaware with powers were around my planet...however that does not stop my motivate to help the Republic, my planet is a neutral planet d already sends out food to various buyers however I want to devote some of that to the republic worlds that have been ravage by the war "she said and paused for a moment to gather words"as for the Senate position I do for that as I wish to have my planet represented in the Republic Senate and simply not sitting about"with that she stopped and would wait

"Are you blind?" Ayumi stood there looking at the holoprojector and raised an eyebrow bringing herself out into the view so she could look at the twi'lek. "I have not known many queens but the ones I have met knew what surrounded them. How would these supply lines and shipments come to us safely if they are not avoiding the space that would likely search it." Her eyes remained trained on her as she cross her arms over her chest. "WHile more worlds willing to stand and help the Republic is a welcomed thing. So many work to have backdoor agendas and only want to help so long as it benefits themselves. I am weary and careful though when the offer is to good to be true or there are issues such as this presented."

Suravi found Pallopides to be pretty blunt in her response, but she did have a point. As much as she wanted to help, the Republic couldn't just accept each and every system unconditionally, lest they end up on the short end of the deal having their treasuries drained.

"As it stands, I see that Imahaylan doesn't have much of a military to speak of. Very concerning, as you do indeed sit between three hostile powers. That means that the Republic would have to expend a considerable amount of resources to keep you protected as a member state. While I appreciate your willingness to aid the Republic, I feel that the entry of Imahaylan in its current state would create an unfair burden on the central government."

"Here's what we could do for you instead. We could provide military personnel in an advisory role, and give you access to our markets to sell your crops and wares at a reduced tariff rate."

Stardust looked to [member="Ayumi Pallopides"] and gave a chuckle"technically yes I am blind but that's for another time and I've only been queen for about a few months trying to clean up stuff on my planet since I have liberated it"she said before she looked to [member="Suravi Teigra"] and nodded slowly before she gave a kind friendly smile"I wish not to out a burden onto of the republics already hefty load I shall accept the terms so long as I can be ambassador to my planet along with selling ny crops to you as well"she said as she brought stuff up and looked at some things before she seemed to blink then look at them

"Covert military advisors, if the planet is accepted and in contact with the Republic it could be seen by people as an action they do not like." She was loathed to call it being pricks but one of the best ways she knew the sith bolstered their ego was like most groups with some strength. Go after what couldn't defend themselves. A world with no military that is cut off normally was a great target for being big and strong by facing no resistance instead of someone who could punch you back in the face. "If it is known we sent people there it could endanger them further. However discretion might be the better part of valor in this. We have seen how petty some governments can be and how if weakness is perceived they go for what they can bully over trying direct action."

"I'm going to have to agree with Pallopides. We'll need to keep our military assistance low-key as to not antagonize the system's surrounding neighbors."

"It looks like the matter is settled. For now, I'm going to have to vote against Imahaylan becoming a member-state of the Republic, but we can set up some security and economic arrangments to see that your system becomes able to improve on its defense under our guidance."

She nodded to the two"I agree a sign that the planet is bolstering defenses could spell doom to my people..."she said but then looked at the two and bowed"I accept the arrangements senators and will start pulling what I got while your uhhh advisors are sent to help

Looking things over she really had now other things to say or work with. Her questions had been answered somewhat and concerns addressed good times all around as she sat back down. Looking at Suravi there in her booth as she shrugged not really sure if there were any other concerns.
