"Hope is the light that lifts us out of darkness"

Air whipped past Starbird as he fell. Down, down, down, through the colossal gate that seperated the surface from the sub-surface levels of Coruscant. Entire underground cityscapes would whip past, Starbird's mind only barely recognizing them as it struggled with consciousness and the pain, a colossal scorch mark staining his armor from Imperial blaster fire. Far above the surface of Coruscant swarmed with troopers looking for the masked vigilante. The barely open eyes behind the temple guard's mask stared upwards through a dozen levels as the daylight sky grew smaller and smaller. Around him roared the engines of speeders and transports whose occupants' eyes would trail the fluttering orange cape as it encased Starbird's falling figure.

As the sky would shrink to a quarter sized hole above him Starbird's eyes would fight open. On any other world he would have hit the surface, and that could've been the end for him. But here, in Galactic City, there were depths that protected as much as they oppressed. With concentrated effort Starbird would reactivate the repulsor belt around his waist. This didn't stop his fall, rather slowing it somewhat, and as he pushed on himself with the force to propel himself through the air his orange cape would whip to trail behind as he arched away from the gate and its beam of light. Though, only half conscious, he didn't know where he was go-

The impact was sudden, his mind barely recognizing the clang of broken metal and glass as he plummeted into one of the colossal spires which held up the city above. Tumbling through the wall he'd hit the ground hard, rolling several times into the room before hitting the far wall which would thankfully finally put a stop to his fall. He would sit there, motionless, his mind trying to put the pieces together. He had been brawling with a couple of troopers harassing a store, yes. That's what it was. A dozen of them lay unconscious thousands of feet above him. But that TIE Fighter, the backup. He fled and... now he was here.

With a groan he would push off from the floor, his elbows shaking with the effort to lift his exhausted body. His eyes, shrouded by the mask, would glance around the room as his instincts would kick in: was anyone hurt?
